Triouzoune
The Triouzoune ( oc, Triusona) is a long river in the Corrèze ''département'', south-central France. Its source is on the Plateau de Millevaches, north of ''la Rigaudie'', a hamlet in Saint-Sulpice-les-Bois. It flows generally south-southeast. It is a right tributary of the Dordogne into which it flows between Neuvic and Sérandon. Alleyrat, Corrèze
Alleyrat (; oc, Alairac) is a Communes of France, commune in the Corrèze Departments of France, department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of central France. The inhabitants of the commune are known as ''Alleyratois'' or ''Alleyratoises'' Geography Alleyrat is located 8 km north-east of Meymac, 11 km north-west of Ussel, Corrèze, Ussel, and 13 km south of Sornac. Access to the commune is by the D102 road which runs off the D30 west of the commune and passes south-east through the village to join the D57 road in the east. The D57 also passes through the commune in the south from east to west where it joins the D30 just north of Meymac. Apart from the village there are a number of hamlets. These are: Enclisse, Ceppe, Le Soulier, Roumignac, and La Chassagne. The commune is about equally split between forest and farmland. Dordogne (river)
The Dordogne (; oc, Dordonha) is a river in south-central and southwest France. It is long. The Dordogne and its watershed were designated Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO on July 11 2012. Geography The river rises on the flanks of the Puy de Sancy at above sea level in the mountains of Auvergne, from the confluence of two small torrents above the town of Le Mont-Dore: the ''Dore'' and the ''Dogne''. It flows generally west about through the Limousin and Périgord regions before flowing into the Gironde, its common estuary with the Garonne, at the Bec d'Ambès ("Ambès beak"), north of the city of Bordeaux. Nature The Dordogne is one of the few rivers in the world that exhibit the phenomenon of a tidal bore, known as a mascaret. The upper valley of the Dordogne is a series of deep gorges. Meymac
Meymac (; oc, Maismac) is a commune in the department of Corrèze, in central France. History During the Hundred Years' War it was pillaged by Rodrigo de Villandrando. Geography The commune lies just south of the Millevaches Plateau and northwest of the Cantal mountains.
