Tribalism (album)
''Tribalism'' is the second compilation album by British rock band Enter Shikari, released on 22 February 2010. The album contains two brand new tracks, b-sides, remixes and live tracks. A limited edition version of the album was released in a boxset package also containing a sticker, poster and badges. Only 1,000 of this edition were made. History Songs on the compilation were recorded between 2007 and 2009. The first single "Thumper" was released on 12 February 2010. The video for "Thumper" shows the band in black-and-white and ending up looking cartoon-esque, not unlike A-Ha's "Take On Me", although the band members' faces are distorted, with wide mouths, pointed noses and sunken eyes. This type of animation is called rotoscoping. The video was directed and animated by Joseph Pierce. Enter Shikari
Enter Shikari (stylised as enter: shikari and occasionally as ΣΠΤΣ℞ SΗΦΚ∆℞Φ) are a British rock band formed in St Albans, Hertfordshire, England in 1999 by bassist Chris Batten, lead vocalist and keyboardist Rou Reynolds, and drummer Rob Rolfe. In 2003, guitarist Rory Clewlow joined the band to complete its current line-up, and it adopted its current name. In 2006, they performed to a growing fanbase at Download Festival as well as a sold-out concert at the London Astoria. Their debut studio album, ''Take to the Skies'', was released in 2007 and reached number 4 in the Official UK Album Chart, and has since been certified gold in the UK. Their second, ''Common Dreads'', was released in 2009 and debuted on the UK Albums Chart at number 16; while their third, ''A Flash Flood of Colour'', was released in 2012 and debuted on the chart at number 4. "We Can Breathe in Space, They Just Don't Want Us to Escape" is a song by British rock band Enter Shikari. The release of the single is the only release of Enter Shikari in 2008. The single was not released on the band's album, '' Common Dreads'', in 2009, as it was decided by the band that it would be a "go-between" ''Take to the Skies'' and '' Common Dreads''. The song was originally demoed by the band in 2006. The reason of the re-recording was because of many requests from fans to have this song re-recorded. Bass Guitar
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. Electric Guitar
An electric guitar is a guitar that requires external amplification in order to be heard at typical performance volumes, unlike a standard acoustic guitar (however combinations of the two - a semi-acoustic guitar and an electric acoustic guitar exist). High Contrast
Lincoln Barrett (born 18 September 1979), better known by the stage name High Contrast, is a Welsh electronic music producer, DJ and record producer. He produces drum and bass music, and his 2009 album ''Confidential'' reached BPI gold certification (100,000 units sold in the UK). Career Early work Barrett was born in Penarth, near Cardiff, and grew up more interested in films and film soundtracks than rock or pop music; he cites Wendy Carlos's ''A Clockwork Orange'' soundtrack album and the Vangelis soundtrack for ''Blade Runner'' as defining musical influences. The Qemists
The Qemists are an English electronic music group, hailing from Brighton, England. They are signed to Amazing Record Co., an independent record label, indie record label based in the UK. The band have a separate deal with Beat Records for distribution in Japan and with Detroit-based label FiXT Music for North America. History The Qemists were originally the drummer, bassist and guitarist in a rock band where they spent a lot of time touring UK and Europe as well as spending a lot of time in the studio. During this time in the rock band in the late 1990s, they acquired an interest in drum and bass and some of the group's early efforts started to get airplay. Nero (stylised as NERO) are a British electronic music trio composed of members Dan Stephens, Joe Ray and Alana Watson. On 12 August 2011, they released their debut studio album, ''Welcome Reality'', which reached number one in the UK Albums Chart.
