Tri-Cities Fever
The Tri-Cities Fever were a professional indoor football franchise based in Kennewick, Washington. The Fever joined National Indoor Football League (NIFL) in 2005 as an expansion team. The Fever were owned by Teri Carr. From 2005 to 2016, the Fever played their home games at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, Washington. On June 30, 2016, the team announced it would go dormant for the 2017 season and beyond. The Fever won one division title and three conference championships. They appeared in two United Bowls, most recently the 2012 United Bowl where they were defeated by the Sioux Falls Storm 59-32. Toyota Center (Kennewick)
The Toyota Center is a multi-purpose arena in the northwest United States, located in Kennewick, Washington. Opened in 1988 as the Tri-Cities Coliseum, the arena's name was changed in 2004 to the Three Rivers Coliseum to match the Three Rivers Convention Center, which was built next door in the same year. In October 2005, a deal was reached between the city of Kennewick and Toyota, which agreed to pay $2 million over ten years for naming rights. The city uses the funds for needed improvements and upgrades to the facility. A smaller facility next door, built by the city in 1998, was named "Toyota Arena." In 2016, the Kennewick Public Facilities District will put to the voters an expansion of what is now known as the Three Rivers Complex. Rapid City Flying Aces
The Rapid City Flying Aces were a professional indoor American football team in Rapid City, South Dakota. Like their predecessors, the Black Hills Red Dogs, they played their home games at the Don Barnett Arena in Rapid City. As of April 2007, the Flying Aces did not belong to any football league. The team was affiliated with the original Indoor Football League in 2000; with the National Indoor Football League from 2001 to 2004 and in 2006; and with United Indoor Football in 2005. The team considered rejoining United Indoor Football in 2008. The Flying Aces won at least 10 out of 14 games three times in their seven seasons; however, organizational turmoil threatened the existence of the franchise. Akeem Foster (born March 20, 1987) is a professional Canadian football wide receiver for the Kotka Eagles of the Finnish 1st Division. Prior to that, Foster had been a member of the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League. He was drafted 25th overall by the BC Lions in the 2010 CFL Draft and signed a contract with the team on May 25, 2010. During the 2013 CFL season, the Lions traded him in exchange for Buck Pierce. Patrick McCain (born March 21, 1992) is an indoor football quarterback who currently is a free agent. McCain previously played for the Nebraska Danger and Tri-Cities Fever of the Indoor Football League (IFL), and Orlando Predators of the National Arena League (NAL). McCain played high school football at Coral Gables Senior High School, where he passed for 2,280 yards and 23 touchdowns with 348 rushing yards and 3 rushing touchdowns over the course of his junior and senior seasons. McCain originally committed to Lafayette; however, he transferred to Jacksonville after one season with the Leopards. McCain went on to play for the Tri-Cities Fever of the Indoor Football League, where in 12 games he passed for 907 yards and 21 touchdowns. The Everett Raptors were a professional indoor football team based in Everett, Washington. The Raptors were member of the Intense Conference of the Indoor Football League (IFL). They played their home games at the Comcast Arena at Everett in Everett. The Raptors franchise was the relocated team previously known as the Kent Predators and later the Seattle Timberwolves.
