Guitar
The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that typically has six strings. It is usually held flat against the player's body and played by strumming or plucking the strings with the dominant hand, while simultaneously pressing selected strings against frets with the fingers of the opposite hand. A plectrum or individual finger picks may also be used to strike the strings. The sound of the guitar is projected either acoustically, by means of a resonant chamber on the instrument, or amplified by an electronic pickup and an amplifier. The guitar is classified as a chordophone – meaning the sound is produced by a vibrating string stretched between two fixed points. Historically, a guitar was constructed from wood with its strings made of catgut. Frozen In Time
''Frozen in Time'' is the sixth album by American death metal band Obituary. It was released on July 12, 2005, and was the band's first album in eight years since 1997's '' Back from the Dead'', and the last to feature guitarist Allen West. Longtime contributor Scott Burns (who had not worked with Obituary since 1994's '' World Demise'') reunited with the band as the producer for this album, though it would be the last time they would work with him as he retired from producing after its release. ''The Pre-Fix for Death'' is the third studio album by American horrorcore musician Necro, released on September 21, 2004 by Psycho+Logical-Records. Unlike his previous albums, ''The Pre-Fix for Death'' sees Necro fusing death metal into several of the album's tracks. It is also the first album to feature live instrumentation by Necro himself. ''Embedded'' is the debut studio album by industrial metal band Meathook Seed, released in March 1993 by Earache Records. The group was founded as a side project by Napalm Death guitarist Mitch Harris in 1992, with the goal to mix industrial metal with death metal. The band was started as a result of collaboration between Harris, and Obituary members Donald Tardy and Trevor Peres, who handled the drums and vocals respectively. Overview ''Embedded'' is a mix of death metal, industrial metal and hardcore punk, while the last track of the recording, "Sea of Tranquility", is an ambient and trance song. Every song in the album is different, in terms of tempo and structure alike.
