Treviglio Railway Station
Treviglio railway station ( it, Stazione di Treviglio), also known as Treviglio centrale railway station (Italian: ''Stazione centrale di Treviglio'') is the main station serving the town and comune of Treviglio, in the region of Lombardy, northern Italy. Opened in 1878, it has a higher average number of passengers per day than Treviglio's other railway station, Treviglio Ovest. The station lies on the Milan–Venice railway, Treviglio–Bergamo railway and Treviglio–Cremona railway and is terminus of two suburban railways passing through Milan toward Novara (S6) and Varese (S5). By those lines are also reachable Brescia, Lodi and Verona. The station is managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI) and the commercial area of the passenger building is managed by Centostazioni. The adjective (usually abbreviated to ), German for imperial–royal, was applied to the authorities and state institutions of the Austrian Empire until the Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867, which established the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Porta Vittoria (formerly Porta Tosa) was a city gate in the Walls of Milan#Spanish walls, Spanish walls of Milan, Italy. While the walls and the gate have been demolished, the name "Porta Vittoria" has remained to refer to the district ("quartiere") where the gate used to be. This district is part of the Zone 4 of Milan, Zone 4 administrative division of Milan. History Porta Tosa was the eastern gate of the Spanish walls of Milan, dating back to the 16th century. The Società per le Strade Ferrate Meridionali (Italian: ''Company for the Southern Railways'', ''SFM'') was an Italian railway company established in 1862. In 1885 it took the control of the so-called "Rete Adriatica" (''Adriatic Network'', ''RA''). Rete Adriatica (RA) defines the network of railway lines assigned to the Società per le Strade Ferrate Meridionali under the Conventions of 1885. This network was merged into the Italian State Railways (FS) in 1905. Rovato ( it, Stazione di Rovato) is a railway station serving the town of Rovato, in the region of Lombardy, northern Italy. The station opened on 5 March 1878 and is located on the Milan–Venice railway and Bergamo–Brescia railway. The train services are operated by Trenord.
