The Cure
The Cure are an English Rock music, rock band formed in 1978 in Crawley, Crawley, West Sussex. Throughout numerous lineup changes since the band's formation, guitarist, lead vocalist, and songwriter Robert Smith (musician), Robert Smith has remained the only constant member. The band's debut album, ''Three Imaginary Boys'' (1979), along with several early singles, placed the band in the post-punk and New wave music, new wave movements that had sprung up in the United Kingdom. Beginning with their second album, ''Seventeen Seconds'' (1980), the band adopted a new, increasingly dark and tormented style, which, together with Smith's stage look, had a strong influence on the emerging genre of gothic rock as well as gothic subculture, the subculture that eventually formed around the genre. After the release of the band's fourth album, ''Pornography (album), Pornography'' (1982), Smith introduced a greater Pop music, pop sensibility into the band's music, and they subsequently garner ...

Before You Were Punk
''Before You Were Punk'' is a compilation album released in 1997 by Vagrant Records.  It consists of a number of mid-1990s punk rock bands (most of them from southern California) covering songs that were popularised during the 1980s " new wave" musical movement.  It was an ambitious release for the label, which was still in its early stages, and proved to be a success by selling over 70,000 copies.Andy Greenwald. '' Nothing Feels Good: Punk Rock, Teenagers and Emo''. New York: St. Martin’s Griffin, 2003, p. 76  It was followed by an equally successful sequel, '' Before You Were Punk 2'', in 1999. Because Vagrant Records did not yet have an extensive roster of artists, the compilation relied mostly on contributions from bands on other record labels.  Only Face to Face and Automatic 7 had previously released records through Vagrant.  By contrast, ''Before You Were Punk 2'' would feature more bands that had signed to the label between 1997 and 1999. Don't Turn Away
''Don't Turn Away'' is the first album by the American punk rock band Face to Face. It was released in 1992 under the label Dr. Strange Records, and was considered a strong debut for the band. It was re-released a year later on Fat Wreck Chords. Two years later, " Disconnected," the album's third track, was re-recorded for the band's second album ''Big Choice''. Their then-label A&M Records wanted the band to re-record it, because no one could "hear a single" until the L.A. radio station KROQ first played it. Critical reception ''Trouser Press ''Trouser Press'' was a rock and roll magazine started in New York in 1974 as a mimeographed fanzine by editor/publisher Ira Robbins, fellow fan of the Who Dave Schulps and Karen Rose under the name "Trans-Oceanic Trouser Press" (a reference to ...'' called the album "a stirring and exciting debut undercut only slightly by its overt stylistic debt to Hüsker Dü and Social Distortion." A zero tolerance policy is one which imposes a punishment for every infraction of a stated rule.zero tolerance, n.' (under ''zero, n.''). The Oxford English Dictionary, 2nd Ed. 1989. Retrieved 10 November 2009. Italy, Japan, Singapore China, India, and Russia have since been labeled zero tolerance. Although some harm reductionists also see drug use as generally undesirable, they hold that the resources would do more good if they were allocated toward helping problem drug users, instead of combating all drug users. For example, research from Switzerland indicates that emphasis on problem drug users "seems to have contributed t ...
