Trentemøller
Anders Trentemøller (; born 16 October 1972) is a Danish indie/electronic music composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist based in Copenhagen, Denmark. History Trentemøller started music in the late 1990s with different indie rock projects. In 2006, following a line of more electronic-orientated 12-inch EPs, Trentemøller released his debut album, '' The Last Resort''. In 2007 he assembled his first full live band, with Henrik Vibskov on drums and Mikael Simpson on guitar. Complete with visuals from director Karim Ghahwagi, the ensuing ‘Trentemøller: Live In Concert’ tour brought him to the United States for the first time as well as to festivals including Glastonbury (UK), Roskilde (Denmark) and Melt! (Germany). In 2009, '' The Trentemøller Chronicles'', a double compilation of unreleased songs, non-album tracks and remixes for acts including Röyksopp, Moby and The Knife, was released. ''The Trentemøller Chronicles'' is a compilation album by Denmark, Danish electronic musician Trentemøller, released on October 1, 2007. The first disc acts as a DJ mix, mix session, mixed by Trentemøller and the second disc contains selected Trentemøller remixes in their full length. The double album is also available on Gramophone record, vinyl and as music download, digital download. Into The Great Wide Yonder
''Into the Great Wide Yonder'' is the second studio album by Danish electronic musician Trentemøller. It was released physically on May 28, 2010 in Germany, and worldwide on May 31 as digital download. The album's lead single, "Sycamore Feeling," which features vocals by Danish singer Marie Fisker, was released digitally on March 22, 2010. The Special Edition includes a DVD with the music video of "Sycamore Feeling" and a live video of "Silver Surfer, Ghost Rider Go!!!" performed at Roskilde Festival in 2009, both recorded in high-definition. The album peaked at number two on the Danish Albums Chart. In 2014 it was awarded a double silver certification from the Independent Music Companies Association, which indicated sales of at least 40,000 copies throughout Europe. The Last Resort (album)
''The Last Resort'' is the debut album by the Danish electronic musician Trentemøller. It was released on 9 October 2006. The album debuted at #5 on the Danish Albums Chart. In Denmark, ''The Last Resort'' was certified platinum in October 2009 for sales over 30,000 copies, a rare feat for an electronic music album. It is also available in a Limited Edition which includes a bonus disc with some of Trentemøller's previous 12-inch singles. Reception Philip Sherburne of '' Pitchfork'' compared the album to Thom Yorke's '' The Eraser''. Resident Advisor—an online magazine with a focus on electronic music—named ''The Last Resort'' as the fifth best album of 2006. They also named it the 28th best album of the decade. Roskilde Festival
The Roskilde Festival is a Danish music festival held annually south of Roskilde. It is one of the largest music festivals in Europe and the largest in the Nordic countries. It was created in 1971 by two high school students and a promoter. In 1972, the festival was taken over by the Roskilde Foundation, which has since run the festival as a non-profit organization for development and support of music, culture and humanism. In 2014, the Roskilde Foundation provided festival participants with the opportunity to nominate and vote upon which organizations should receive funds raised by the festival. Vordingborg () is an old ferry town in Vordingborg Municipality in Denmark with around 18,000 inhabitants. Henrik Vibskov
Henrik Vibskov (born 1972) is a Danish fashion designer, artist, curator and musician. Commonly associated with the fashion brand carrying the same name, his work is known for its enticing universes and crossover into other art forms. Working in the intersection between art and design, his work includes: art, installations, scenography, costumes, video, performance and exhibitions. Modeselektor
Modeselektor is a German electronic music duo consisting of Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary. History The group members met in 1992 in Berlin with group member Szary performing live acid house music at illegal underground parties, under the moniker Fundamental Knowledge. The group says, "After the Wall came down, everywhere in Germany and especially East Germany there was a lot of chaos, anarchy."
