Trent Harris
Trent Harris (born 1952) is an independent filmmaker based in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 2013, Indiewire proclaimed Harris "The Best Underground Filmmaker You Don’t Know — But Should." Harris’ films have played at dozens of festivals and museums worldwide with screenings at Sundance, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the British Film Institute in London, the Edinburgh Film Festival, the Museum of Modern Art in Vienna Austria, Les Laboratories in Aubervilliers France, The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco and the Pacific Film Archive in Berkeley. Career Harris taught film and screenwriting classes at the University of Utah and worked as a documentarian and television journalist. He wrote and directed six feature films, many experimental movies, and more than one-hundred documentaries for PBS, National Geographic, NBC, and others. Rubin And Ed
''Rubin & Ed'' is a 1991 independent buddy comedy film written and directed by Trent Harris. It stars Crispin Glover and Howard Hesseman as an unlikely pairing on a road trip through the Utah desert. Plot Rubin Farr is an eccentric, unsociable young man who lives in a motel run by his mother and mourns his cat, which is being stored in a refrigerator until he can find a proper spot to bury it. Ed Tuttle is a divorced, middle-aged yuppie who works for real estate pyramid schemer Mr. Busta as a recruiter for his $3,000 "seminars". As a condition of returning his stereo to him, Rubin's mother forces her son to go out and make at least one friend. Rubin befriends Ed and decides to go and bury his cat in the Utah desert. Alissandru Francesco "Alex" Caldiero (born 1949) is a poet, and intermedia. Life Caldiero was born in the ancient town of Licodia Eubea, near Catania, Sicily, in 1949. He immigrated to the United States at age nine and was raised in Manhattan and Brooklyn, New York. He attended Queens College in Flushing, New York, and was apprenticed to the sculptor Michael Lekakis and the poet-bard Ignazio Buttitta.
