Tremontiani referred to the faction around Giulio Tremonti, a leading member of The People of Freedom (PdL), a political party in Italy. Close to Tremonti is '' ResPublica'', a liberal think tank led by Eugenio Belloni. The People Of Freedom
The People of Freedom ( it, Il Popolo della Libertà, PdL) was a centre-right political party in Italy. The PdL, launched by Silvio Berlusconi on 18 November 2007, was initially a federation of political parties, notably including Forza Italia and National Alliance, which participated as a joint election list in the 2008 general election. The federation was later transformed into a party during a party congress on 27–29 March 2009. A political faction is a group of individuals that share a common political purpose but differs in some respect to the rest of the entity. A faction within a group or political party may include fragmented sub-factions, "parties within a party," which may be referred to as power blocs, or voting blocs. Giulio Tremonti
Giulio Tremonti () (born 18 August 1947) is an Italian politician. He served in the government of Italy as Minister of Economy and Finance under Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi from 1994 to 1995, from 2001 to 2004, from 2005 to 2006, and from 2008 to 2011. Early life Tremonti was born in Sondrio, Northern Lombardy, in a family of Venetian and Campanian ancestry (his father was from Lorenzago di Cadore, in the Province of Belluno, and his mother from Benevento). He is a full professor of law at the University of Pavia, Italy, and has been a visiting professor at the Institute of Comparative Law, Oxford. Giuliano Urbani
Giuliano Urbani (born 9 June 1937) is an Italian academic and politician. He was the minister of cultural heritage from 2001 to 2005. Early life Urbani was born in Perugia on 9 June 1937. Career and activities Urbani is an academic by profession. He taught political sciences at Bocconi University in Milan until 1994. He was also a collaborator of Fininvest. He is the cofounder and a leading member of the Forza Italia led by Silvio Berlusconi. He contributed to the development of the party's ideology. Vittorio Mathieu
Vittorio Mathieu (12 December 1923 – 30 September 2020) was an Italian philosopher and historian. Biography Mathieu was born in 1923 in Varazze. After his secondary studies, he enrolled in the Faculty of Law in Turin. He graduated from the University of Turin with a degree in theoretical philosophy. Mathieu became a professor of theoretical philosophy at the University of Trieste in 1961. He then became a professor emeritus of moral philosophy at the University of Turin. The Labour and Freedom List (''Lista Lavoro e Libertà'', 3L) was a political party in Italy led by Giulio Tremonti.
