Tree Island, also known as Zhaoshu Island, (; vi, Đảo Cây) is one of the main islands of the Paracel Islands group in the South China Sea. In 1947, the Chinese named the island ''Zhaoshu Dao'' to commemorate Zhao Shu () who accompanied Zheng He's expeditions in high seas (1405-1433). The area of the island is (0.22 km²). It is under the administration of Hainan Province of China through the ''Zhaoshudao Village Committee''. The island is also claimed by the Republic of China (Taiwan) and Vietnam. Other names *The name ''Shu Dao'' () is homologous to "Tree Island". Pak Chau
Pak Chau () or Tree Island is an island at the northwest water of Hong Kong. It is offshore of Lung Kwu Tan near Tuen Mun in the New Territories. Conservation Since 1996, the island, Lung Kwu Chau, and Sha Chau are within the boundaries of the Sha Chau and Lung Kwu Chau Marine Park. The Paracel Islands, also known as the Xisha Islands () and the Hoang Sa Archipelago ( vi, Quần đảo Hoàng Sa, lit=Yellow Sand Archipelago), are a disputed archipelago in the South China Sea. Bombay Reef
Bombay Reef (, vi, đá Bông Bay) is an atoll of the Paracel Islands. In Chinese, the reef is alternatively known as "Pengbojiao" (), or "Qilianyu" (literally "7 key lago") along with six other islands close by. Geography The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's ''Sailing Directions'' describes Bombay Reef as "the southeasternmost known danger of the Paracel Islands, a steep-to reef 10 miles long E and W that surrounds a rock-strewn lagoon." Triton Island
Triton Island (; ) is the westernmost and southernmost of the Paracel Islands in the South China Sea. It is located on the southwest corner of Triton Reef and has an area of above sea-level. The reef including the island measures about in area. The island is administered by the People's Republic of China, and is also claimed by the Republic of China (Taiwan) and Vietnam. Rocky Island, South China Sea
Rocky Island (; Vietnamese: ''Đảo Đá'') is one of the Paracel Islands in the South China Sea. It is under the administration of the People's Republic of China and guarded by the PLA Navy. The island is also claimed by Taiwan and Vietnam. Geography Until 2016–2017, Rocky Island was connected to Woody Island by an 800-metre concrete causeway. Land reclamation in 2016-2017 has joined the two islands by a larger area of land. The north part of causeway is now part of an infill construction project while the south end provides protection of the roadway from the sea. Beach Volleyball
Beach volleyball is a team sport played by two teams of two or more players on a sand court divided by a net. Similar to indoor volleyball, the objective of the game is to send the ball over the net and to ground it on the opponent's side of the court. Each team also works in unison to prevent the opposing team from grounding the ball on their side of the court. Teams are allowed up to three touches to return the ball across the net, and individual players may not touch the ball twice consecutively except after a touch off an attempted block.
