John Gordon (curler)
John Gordon (born March 27, 1958, in Ashland, Wisconsin) is an American curler. He is a two-time Olympian, having competed at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano and the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, finishing 4th and 7th respectively. He also represented the United States at the World Curling Championships three times, finishing 4th in 1995, 6th in 1996, and 4th in 1999. 2001 United States Olympic Curling Trials
The 2001 United States Olympic Curling Trials were held from December 9 to 16, 2001 in Ogden, Utah. Through double round-robin tournaments the trials determined which men's and women's teams would represent the United States at the 2002 Winter Olympics, also in Ogden. Tim Somerville's team won the men's side; his third time at the Olympics, first time for third Mike Schneeberger, and second time for Myles Brundidge and John Gordon. Kari Erickson and her team of Debbie McCormick, Stacey Liapis, and Ann Swisshelm won the women's side, their only loss coming after they had already clinched the Olympics berth. This was the first Olympics for Erickson and her sister Liapis and second for McCormick and Swisshelm. Doug Kauffman
Doug Kauffman (born September 18, 1973) is an American curler from Hayward, California. At the national level, he is a two-time United States men's curling champion (2001, 2004). Kauffman picked up curling in his late twenties while living in Seattle, having seen it on television and then watching the 1997 National Championship live at the local Granite Curling Club. Teams Personal life Kauffman married to Katie, they have one son Connor. He works as Director of Golf at the Members Club at Aldarra. He started curling in 1998 when he was at the age of 29.
