Travis Dickerson
Travis Dickerson is an American musician and producer best known for his work with Buckethead and Viggo Mortensen. He also runs TDRS music, a recording studio with its own record label that has released albums by Bill Laswell, Jethro Tull, Linda Ronstadt, and Vince DiCola. Dickerson can be heard playing keyboards on many albums he has recorded and produced. Career Dickerson built his first recording studio in Michigan, where he began writing and recording songs. Soon after, he moved the studio to Chatsworth, Los Angeles, where he met the punk band X and helped them record a number of albums. Vocalist Exene Cervenka introduced Dickerson to Viggo Mortensen, starting a long friendship. Nearly all of Mortensen's albums since then have been recorded or distributed by TDRS. In 1994, Dickerson recorded and played keyboards on ''County Fair 2000'', an album by Phil Alvin of the Blasters. Buckethead
Brian Patrick Carroll (born May 13, 1969), known professionally as Buckethead, is an American guitarist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He has received critical acclaim for his innovative electric guitar playing. His music spans several genres, including progressive metal, funk, blues, bluegrass, ambient, and avant-garde music. He performs primarily as a solo artist, although he has collaborated with a wide variety of artists such as Bill Laswell, Bootsy Collins, Bernie Worrell, Iggy Pop, Les Claypool, Serj Tankian, Bill Moseley, Mike Patton, Viggo Mortensen, That 1 Guy, Bassnectar, and Skating Polly. The Owl Dives Through The Crescent Moon
''The Owl Dives Through the Crescent Moon'' is the second studio album, by keyboardist Travis Dickerson. The album was released in February 2012. The album features the collaborations of bassist Paul Ill, guitarist Lindy Dickerson, and drummer DJ Bonebrake. All of them collaborated on Dickerson's previous album Iconography. As opposed to his previous release, Dickerson now serves also as vocalist. Talking about this new role Dickerson explains: The album was made available for pre-release on February 1 through TDRS Music while also releasing an EP consisting of 3 full songs from the album for free. On February 25, 2012, the album was shipped, with the first 100 copies containing a poster signed by the band. ''Crime Slunk Scene'' is the eighteenth studio album by Buckethead, and his fourth tour-only album. It was originally only sold on his 2006 tour, but was later made available on Travis Dickerson's record label TDRS music, until it eventually went out of print. Background The track "Soothsayer" (dedicated to Buckethead's late aunt) has become one of his more popular songs, and is frequently played live. "Soothsayer" was voted third best guitar solo of the 2000s by the Ultimate Guitar community. Loudwire described it as "smoothest legato shreds of all-time". VH1 included it 8th on the list of "20 Greatest Heavy Metal Instrumentals". The song was later included as DLC on '' Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock''.
