S.S.D. F.C. Trapani 1905, commonly referred to as Trapani, is an Italian football club based in Trapani, Sicily. It currently plays in Serie D, after a year long hiatus following its exclusion from Serie C during the course of the 2020–21 season. The Serie A (), also called Serie A TIM for national sponsorship with TIM, is a professional league competition for football clubs located at the top of the Italian football league system and the winner is awarded the Scudetto and the Coppa Campioni d'Italia. It has been operating as a round-robin tournament for over ninety years since the 1929–30 season. 2010–11 Lega Pro Seconda Divisione
The 2010–11 Lega Pro Seconda Divisione season was the thirty-third football league season of Italian Lega Pro Seconda Divisione since its establishment in 1978, and the third since the renaming from Serie C to Lega Pro. It was divided into two phases: the regular season, and the playoff phase. The league is usually composed of 54 teams divided into three divisions of 18 teams each. This year, only 49 teams met the financial criteria of the league. They will be divided geographically into three divisions of 17, 16 and 16 teams. Teams will play only other teams in their own division, once at home and once away. The 17-team division teams will play 32 matches each, while the 16-team division teams will play 30 matches each. Roberto Boscaglia
Rocco "Roberto" Boscaglia (born 24 May 1968 in Gela) is an Italian football coach and former midfielder. He was most recently the head coach of Foggia. Career A former amateur midfielder, Boscaglia took his first head coaching role in 2004 at the helm of Eccellenza club Akragas, obtaining a seventh and a second place in two seasons in charge. In 2006, he then took over from another Sicilian Eccellenza club, Alcamo, leading them to promotion to Serie D. This was then followed by two seasons at Nissa, which he led to Serie D promotion as well (in a personal second consecutive Eccellenza title) followed by a surprising third place in the top amateur flight. Tarcisio Catanese
Tarcisio Catanese (6 September 1967 – 2 March 2017) was an Italian professional football midfielder who was later involved in the sport as a manager. He played in Serie A for many years and amassed 79 appearances in two spells at Parma F.C., where he later became a youth coach. Gaetano "Tanino" Vasari (born 9 January 1970 in Palermo) is an Italian former football midfielder. Career Vasari, a native of the Palermo neighbourhood of ''Borgo Vecchio'', started his playing career with Partinicaudace, a team from Partinico playing in the Serie D. He then signed for Serie C1 club Trapani in 1993, showing himself as one of the mainstays of the team which narrowly missed a historical promotion to Serie B. Eccellenza
The Eccellenza (, "excellence") is the fifth level (since 2014–15) of Italian football. It is a regional league, composed of 28 divisions divided geographically. All 20 regions are represented by at least one division except for Piedmont and Aosta Valley which share 2 divisions. Veneto, Tuscany, Sicily, Emilia-Romagna and Campania also have 2 divisions each, while the regions of Lombardy and Lazio have 3 divisions. Promotion and relegation After the regular season is completed, the first-placed team for each division is automatically promoted to Serie D. Lega Pro Seconda Divisione was the fourth highest football league in Italy, the lowest with a professional status. Usually it consisted of 36 teams, but in the 2011–12 season, there were 41 teams divided geographically into two divisions of 20 and 21. Group A covered northern and north-central Italy, Group B south-central and southern Italy. Until the 2007–08 season, the league was known as Serie C2. Before the 1978–79 season, there were only three professional football leagues in Italy, the third being Serie C. Walter Alfredo Novellino (born 4 June 1953; ), is an Italian football manager and former player, who played as a midfielder. Club career Novellino was born at Montemarano, province of Avellino. After spending his childhood in São Paulo, Brazil, he later returned to Italy, and started his professional career with Torino, then obtaining his major successes with Perugia and A.C. Milan, and being nicknamed ''Monzon'' (after an Argentine boxer) due to both his physical resemblance to him and his determination on the pitch. Novellino announced his retirement in 1987. In his first season with Milan, he helped the club to their tenth Serie A title in 1979. Francesco Galeoto (born March 17, 1972) is an Italian football defender. Career After spending his early years as a youth player for hometown club Palermo, he left for Cerveteri in 1993. Since then, he played for several Serie B and Serie C1 teams, including Trapani, Palermo (where he returned in 1995), Salernitana, Pescara and Taranto.
