Trans World Airlines (TWA) was a major American airline which operated from 1930 until 2001. It was formed as Transcontinental & Western Air to operate a route from New York City to Los Angeles via St. Louis, Kansas City, and other stops, with Ford Trimotors. With American Airlines, American, United Airlines, United, and Eastern Air Lines, Eastern, it was one of the "Legacy carrier#Defunct legacy carriers, Big Four" domestic airlines in the United States formed by the Air Mail scandal, Spoils Conference of 1930. TransWorld Group was an association of commodities traders controlling stakes in most of Russia's aluminum smelters. It was established by David and Simon Reuben. By 1996 TransWorld was the world's third-largest aluminum producer, behind Alcoa and Alcan. In 1997 it controlled smelters across the former Soviet Union with revenues estimated in at $5-7 billion. Gameplay The player takes control of a new trucking company and competes against up to either three other human or computer players to make the most money. Transworld (horse)
Transworld (26 February 1974 – 24 June 2001) was an American-bred, Irish-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. Bred in Kentucky he was sent to race in Europe after being sold for $375,000 as a yearling. His brief racing career comprised only five races between May and September 1977 but he showed himself to be a high-class staying colt with wins in the Churchill Stakes, Ulster Derby and Irish St. Leger. He returned to America his stud career and had some success as a breeding stallion. Transworld died in 2001 at the age of 27. Background Transworld was a chestnut horse with a broad white blaze and four white socks bred in Kentucky by Elmendorf Farm. As a yearling he was put up for auction and was sold for $375,000.
