''Transit Blues'' is the sixth studio album by American metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada. It was released on October 7, 2016, through Rise Records, their only album on the label since 2007's '' Plagues''. For the album, Giuseppe Capolupo, drummer of Demise of Eros, Haste the Day and Once Nothing, stated he had recorded on ''Transit Blues'', after Daniel Williams left the band. It is also the first Prada album to feature Kyle Sipress on guitar. The Devil Wears Prada is an American metalcore band from Dayton, Ohio, formed in 2005. Previously a Christian metalcore band, it consists of members Mike Hranica (vocals, additional guitar), Jeremy DePoyster (rhythm guitar, vocals), Kyle Sipress (lead guitar, backing vocals), Mason Nagy (bass), Jonathan Gering (keyboards, backing vocals), and Giuseppe Capolupo (drums). The band had maintained its original line-up until keyboardist James Baney left the band. Demise Of Eros
Demise of Eros was a metalcore band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that formed in late 2003. The band signed to Strike First Records, a subsidiary of Facedown Records. The band disbanded in 2006. Biography The band formed with Vocalist Darren Belajac, Guitarists John Ericson and Steve Stout, Bassist Chris Urbanek, and Drummer Giuseppe "Gypsy" Capolupo. The band signed to Strike First Records and released their first album '' Neither Storm Nor Quake Nor Fire'' on August 22, 2006. Ted Jensen (born September 19, 1954) is an American mastering engineer, known for having mastered many recordings, including the Eagles' ''Hotel California'', Green Day's '' American Idiot'' and Norah Jones' ''Come Away with Me''. Biography Ted Jensen was born to Carl and Margaret (Anning) Jensen, both of whom were musicians. Carl had studied at Yale University. Margaret went to Oberlin College & Conservatory and Skidmore College and was also a pilot. Carl and Margaret met on a train while going to a choral workshop. Ted has one brother, Rick, and two daughters, Kristen and Kim. While attending High School, Jensen was building his own stereo and recording equipment and began recording local bands both in the studio and at live events. Once Nothing
Once Nothing is a self-described "blue collar metal" band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, U.S., and was signed to Solid State Records. The band claims to be Christian, but not a "ministry band". History Once Nothing was formed in early 2000 by Todd Lowry on vocals, Dave Burkes on bass guitar, Ryan Carroll on guitar and Kevin Hough on drums. Shortly after, guitarist Josh Branas was added and the quintet toured regionally until 2005, when Carroll and Hough left the band. Giuseppe Capolupo, previously of Demise of Eros, replaced Hough on drums. Burkes moved to guitar when Steve Lucarelli was added to the band to take over on bass guitar. Haste The Day
Haste the Day was an American metalcore band formed in Carmel, Indiana in 2001 and signed to Solid State Records. Their name is derived from a lyric in the hymn " It Is Well with My Soul" by Horatio Spafford. The band released an EP titled ''That They May Know You'', in 2002, followed by five studio albums: '' Burning Bridges'' (2004), '' When Everything Falls'' (2005), '' Pressure the Hinges'' (2007), '' Dreamer'' (2008), and ''Attack of the Wolf King'' (2010). The group disbanded in March 2011 but reformed in 2014 and released ''Coward'' in 2015. History Haste the Day formed in 2001 in Carmel, Indiana. Giuseppe Capolupo
Giuseppe Capolupo is an American musician who typically performs metalcore. Capolupo has been in bands such as Renfield, Demise of Eros, Haste the Day and Once Nothing, as well as formed his own band, Gypsy and His Band of Ghosts. Capolupo joined The Devil Wears Prada as a fill-in drummer, with the eventual plan of becoming an official member. Background Capolupo began his musical career in 2003, when he became the rhythm guitarist, and co-vocalist for Renfield. After which, he started to perform drums for Demise of Eros. In 2005, he departed from the band. Following his departure, he joined Once Nothing as their drummer. During the band's initial run, Capolupo recorded on '' Earthmover'' and ''First Came the Law''. ''Plagues'' is the second studio album by American metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada. It was released on August 21, 2007, through Rise Records and was re-released on October 28, 2008, with bonus content. Background and promotion The recording session for ''Plagues'' began during winter 2006 with Joey Sturgis as the chosen producer. The name of the album is a biblical reference to plagues in the book of Revelation. Mike Hranica, the vocalist, considered it to be "very visually appealing", although not as important as the meaning placed behind it. The recording was completed in spring 2007 and the album was released on August 21, 2007. ''Plagues'' was re-released on October 28, 2008. The bonus content for the re-release includes an alternative cover, booklet art and a DVD which has footage of The Devil Wears Prada playing at Ultimatour and Warped Tour in 2008.
