''Trampthology'' is the first greatest hits album by former White Lion and Freak of Nature lead singer Mike Tramp, released on December 18, 2020, through Mighty Music/Target Records. The album was released to celebrate Tramp's 25th anniversary as a solo artist. Background and recording The compilation features sixteen of Tramp's biggest hits from his solo career plus four new songs. Tracks from every Mike Tramp solo album are included except the leftover album ''Songs I Left Behind'' and the two Mike Tramp & The Rock 'N' Roll Circuz albums: '' The Rock 'N' Roll Circuz'' and ''Stand Your Ground'', although the song "The Road" was originally recorded on ''The Rock 'N' Roll Circuz'' album, it was later re-recorded for the album '' Second Time Around''. Mike Tramp
Michael Trempenau (born 14 January 1961), better known as Mike Tramp, is a Danish singer best known for his work with the glam metal band White Lion. Since 1998, he has also released several solo albums. In 2012, Tramp went on a solo acoustic tour releasing acoustic albums in both 2013 and 2014. He returned with a full band lineup in 2015 and in 2017, released the album '' Maybe Tomorrow'', which charted at number 1 in Denmark. Biography 1976–1982: Early years Trempenau was born and raised in Vesterbro, Copenhagen, with his mother, Doris, and two brothers, Dennis and Kim. He started his musical career singing in Vesterbro Ungdomsgård, a youth group club in Copenhagen, and appears on their first album: ''Vi lever på Vesterbro'' (1974). In 1976, Trempenau, now known professionally as Tramp, joined the pop band Mabel as the lead singer. ''Mike Tramp & The Rock 'N' Roll Circuz'' is a studio album by former Freak of Nature and current White Lion lead vocalist Mike Tramp, released on 5 October 2009. The album is Tramp's fifth solo album and the first since 2004's '' Songs I Left Behind''. Background and recording Following the release of ''Return of the Pride'' in 2008 which was White Lion's first original studio album in 16 years, Tramp faced a tumultuous time of professional indecision as he tried to decide between continuing his solo career or pouring his energy into White Lion. The album was initially intended to be the next new White Lion album but a new solo band was formed instead. ''Songs of White Lion'' is the first of two albums by Mike Tramp featuring new re-recorded versions of White Lion songs, released via Frontiers Music on 14 April 2023. As the title implies, the new album sees Tramp re-imagining select cuts from his former band White Lion's catalog, including the bands biggest hits: "When the Children Cry", "Wait", and "Little Fighter". ''Songs of White Lion Volume 2'' will be released on August 23, 2024. ''More to Life Than This'' is the third solo album by former White Lion and Freak of Nature lead singer, Mike Tramp, released on March 17, 2003. Background and recording The album was recorded in Copenhagen, Tramp once again produced the album himself but relied on producer/engineer Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica) to engineer and mix the sessions in his own Sweet Silence Studios. Following a guest appearance on Tramp's last solo album, ''Recovering the Wasted Years'', Oliver Steffenson, a lifelong friend of Tramp who was involved with the very early stages of White Lion and also with Tramp formed Freak of Nature, joins Tramp's solo band. James LoMenzo
James LoMenzo (born January 13, 1959) is an American heavy metal bass guitarist. He was a member of the band White Lion, performing with them from 1984 to 1991. He was later the bassist for Black Label Society, Slash's Snakepit, and Megadeth. He was announced as Megadeth's touring bassist in August 2021 and in June 2022 he fully returned to the band. Outside music, he is known for being a contestant on the 21st season of the reality television series ''The Amazing Race''. Career Early days, White Lion, Zakk Wylde, and other projects (1977–2005) In the late 1970s, he started in a band called "Empty Sky", a rock band with hints of jazz. ''Cobblestone Street'' is the seventh solo album by former White Lion and Freak of Nature lead singer, Mike Tramp, released April 8, 2013. Background and recording Following a successful acoustic tour of Europe in 2012, Tramp recorded the new acoustic folk style rock album at Medley Studio, Copenhagen-Denmark in the summer of 2012, with his good friend engineer/Co-producer and multi-instrumentalist Soren Andersen. Originally, the plan was to release it as double album, but Tramp later changed his mind. ''Museum'' is the eighth solo album by former White Lion and Freak of Nature lead singer, Mike Tramp, released August 18, 2014 on Target Records. Background and recording The album picks up where Tramp's last album, 2013's ''Cobblestone Street'' left off, following his new-found, back-to-the-roots direction. Tramp recorded the new acoustic folk style soft rock album at Medley Studio, Copenhagen-Denmark with engineer/co-producer/multi-instrumentalist Soren Andersen. Recovering The Wasted Years
''Recovering the Wasted Years'' is the second solo album by former White Lion and Freak of Nature lead singer, Mike Tramp, released on 1 January 2002. Background and recording The album marks a return to recording following a five-year hiatus since his first solo release, Capricorn, during which time Tramp parted with his former management and label and moved to Australia, with the aim of raising his son away from the rigors of a big city and to plan his next career move. The album was recorded in Media Sound Studios in Copenhagen, produced by Mike Tramp and mixed by Phil Kaffel. ''Capricorn'' is the debut solo album by former White Lion and Freak of Nature lead singer, Mike Tramp. First released in France on the CNR Music label on October 17, 1997, the album was subsequently given a much wider distribution with the North American release on the 10th of February 1998 through CMC International, at which point Tramp commenced a solo tour in support of it.
