Training For Utopia
Training for Utopia, also stylized as TFU, was an American metalcore band active from 1996 to October 2000. History The band first signed with Tooth & Nail Records and was later moved to Solid State Records, the Tooth & Nail imprint that promotes heavy Christian music. Training for Utopia subsequently became popular in the Christian metal scene during its active years, although the band actively tried to remove themselves from that label during their later years. Their brief existence included a tour with Zao and at the time the upcoming band Spitfire, as well as Warlord. It was during this time that the band hired Carlos Colón (later to join The Deadlines) for their 1998 tour providing synthesizers and live guitar to their live show. Immediately following the tour Carlos left the band to pursue other aspirations. Spitfire (US Band)
Spitfire is an American metalcore band from Virginia Beach, Virginia. They first formed in the late 1990s and were previously signed to Goodfellow Records. History Originally, the band featured vocalist and guitarist Matt Beck, drummer Chris Raines, and bassist Jimmy Reeves. With this lineup, they released an EP called ''Straining Towards What's To Come'' on 2Jake Records and ''The Dead Next Door'' on Solid State Records in 1999. For a brief time, Beck left the band and was replaced by Randy Vanderbilt ( Scarlet) on guitar and Jon Spencer (ex-Scarlet) on vocals. With this new vocalist and guitarist, Spitfire released a second EP, called ''The Slideshow Whiplash'', for Goodfellow Records. The band broke up in 2002. Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. An Angle was an American indie rock band from Sacramento, California. At the center of this group was singer-songwriter Kris Anaya. The band signed to Drive-Thru Records in September 2004. In March 2007, the band went on a tour of the US, leading up to June 12, 2007, release of ''The Truth Is That You Are Alive''. On November 15, 2007, a music video was released for "Clean and Gold". In April 2008, the band appeared at the Bamboozle Left festival. Ryan Clark (born June 23, 1979) is an American graphic designer and musician who also has performed under the stage name Maven. He is best known as the lead vocalist of the Christian metal band Demon Hunter, which he co-founded with his brother, guitarist Don Clark.
