''Training Day: The Soundtrack'' is the soundtrack album to Antoine Fuqua's 2001 crime film ''Training Day''. It was released on September 11, 2001 through Priority Records and contained mostly hip hop music. Recording sessions took place at Chung King Studios, at Sony Studios, at Mirror Image Studios, at Daddy's House Recording Studio and at D&D Studios in New York, at Encore Studios, at Record One, at Studio 56, at Village Recorders, at Ameraycan Studios and at View Park Sound Lab in Los Angeles, at Stankonia Recording in Atlanta, and at Windmark Recording Studios in Virginia Beach. Chung King Studios
Chung King Studios was a recording studio that operated in New York City under that name from 1986 to 2015. It was founded by producer John King and engineer Steve Ett with financial backing from the Etches brothers, occupying three different locations during that era. DJ Battlecat
Kevin Gilliam (born April 20, 1968), better known by his stage name Battlecat, is an American hip hop record producer and DJ from South Los Angeles, California. Biography He started out as a battle DJ, notably competing in the 1988 New Music Seminar DJ Battle for World Supremacy and the 1990 DMC US Mixing Finals, both in NYC. He is well known for producing artists such as Snoop Dogg, Tupac Shakur, The Game, Xzibit and Tha Eastsidaz along with a number of other West Coast rappers. His aesthetic is a progression from the early-'90s G-Funk sound pioneered by Above the Law and Dr. Dre, characterized by fat synth bass lines and soulful keys. Dana Stinson (born February 2, 1971), better known by his stage name Rockwilder, is an American hip hop record producer and rapper. A long term friend of Def Jam rapper Redman, Rockwilder got his start producing for East Coast hip hop artists in the mid-1990s.
