Lynn Reynolds
Lynn Fairfield Reynolds (May 7, 1889 – February 25, 1927) was an American director and screenwriter. Reynolds directed more than 80 films between 1915 and 1928. He also wrote for 58 films between 1914 and 1927. Reynolds was born in Harlan, Iowa and died in Los Angeles, California, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Death Returning home in 1927 after being snowbound in the Sierras for three weeks, Reynolds telephoned his wife, actress Kathleen O'Connor, to arrange a dinner party at their Hollywood home with another couple. During the dinner, Reynolds and O'Connor engaged in a heated quarrel in which each accused the other of infidelity. With his guests following in an attempt to calm him down, Reynolds left the table to retrieve a pistol from another room where he shot himself in the head. James Gordon (April 23, 1871 – May 12, 1941) was an American silent film actor. He appeared in more than 120 films between 1911 and 1935. He also directed 4 films between 1913 and 1915, including the 1915 film '' The New Adventures of J. Rufus Wallingford''. Gordon was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on April 23, 1871. He died on May 12, 1941, in Hollywood, California, aged 70, from post-surgical complications. He is buried in Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Jay Morley (July 14, 1890 – November 9, 1976), was an American actor, active in silent films. Career Morley began his acting career in a traveling vaudeville act and performed in dramas with stock theater companies for five years. He had success in silent films, but retired at the beginning of the sound era to serve as sheriff of Malibu. He returned to films and television in the early 1950s. Robert C. Hadley (April 12, 1882 – December 30, 1968) was an American stage and early silent film actor who appeared in over sixty motion pictures between 1912 and 1927. Hadley quit acting as he approached middle age to later become a successful Hollywood makeup artist. Biography Robert C. Hadley was born on April 12, 1882, in Walla Walla, Washington; the first child of William and Amanda Hadley. His father, who was born of English parents, hailed from Michigan and supported his family as a farmer and day laborer. Sid Jordan
Sid Jordan (August 12, 1889 – September 30, 1970) was an American film actor. Biography Born in Muskogee, Oklahoma in 1889, Jordan was introduced to acting through his close friend Tom Mix, when both men were serving as the "Night Marshalls" of Dewey, Oklahoma. Ironically, it was Sid Jordan's father (Col. John Jordan) who helped Sid and Tom Mix obtain their jobs as Night Marshalls, as John Jordan was Sheriff of Washington County, Oklahoma. Sid and Tom made their first film together in Oklahoma, then starred in many films together in Los Angeles, along with Victoria Forde, Tom Mix's wife at that time. Jordan appeared in 130 films between 1913 and 1944. He died in Hemet, California, in 1970. Eva Barbara Novak (February 14, 1898 – April 17, 1988) was an American film actress, who was quite popular during the silent film era. Biography On February 14, 1898, Eva Barbara Novak was born in St. Louis, Missouri, to Joseph Jerome Novak, an immigrant from Bohemia, and Barbara Medek. Her older sister, Johana, also became an actress.
