Trailblazer Travel Books a series of five recreational guides for the Hawaiian Islands plus one each for Sierra Nevada, and San Francisco. They are published by California-based Diamond Valley Company and written by Janine and Jerry Sprout. In 2012, they published "No Worries Paris: A Photographic Walking Guide." Janine Sprout is of French heritage and has photographed the city over a period of decades. It should not be confused with the UK travel book publisher Trailblazer. The guides are aimed at the independent, adventurous travelers. The Sprouts have spent years developing the content and publish revised or new editions yearly. Trailblazer is an independent British publisher of travel, trekking and railway route-guides. Started by author Bryn Thomas in 1991, it was originally synonymous with the ''Trans-Siberian Handbook'', which for years was the only guide to crossing Asia by rail and remains much respected. Trailblazer (monorail)
Trailblazer was a suspended monorail that operated at Fair Park in Dallas, Texas from 1956 to 1964. It was the first commercially operated monorail system in the United States. History Envisioned as a demonstration project for transit solutions, Monorail, Inc. erected a short test system in Houston's Arrowhead Park as the Skyway Line in 1956. During the year, the company contracted with the State Fair of Texas for an expanded project at Fair Park in Dallas. Originally envisioned to be long with terminals at the Automobile Building and Pennsylvania Avenue (with a midway station at Cotton Bowl Plaza), the line was later reduced to terminating at the Cotton Bowl. Trail Blazer (train)
The ''Trail Blazer'' was a deluxe all-coach train, inaugurated between New York and Chicago via Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 17:25 schedule operated by the Pennsylvania Railroad. The trains departed New York City and Chicago every day at 4:30 pm and 3:00 pm, respectively, and arrived at the destination the next morning. The ''Trail Blazer'' was one of the first all-coach trains (along with the Santa Fe's ''El Capitan'') to provide premium services comparable to a Pullman train. The ''Trail Blazer'' name was first used in 1927 for the East St. Louis-Pittsburgh preferred freight VL-6. Lunar Trailblazer
Lunar Trailblazer is a planned small (class D) lunar orbiter, part of NASA's SIMPLEx program, that will detect and map water on the lunar surface to determine how its form, abundance, and location relate to geology. Its mission is to aid in the understanding of lunar water and the Moon's water cycle. Lunar Trailblazer is currently slated to launch in 2023 as a secondary payload on the IM-2 mission, with the satellite scheduled to be completed in early 2023. The Principal Investigator (PI) of the mission is Bethany Ehlmann, a professor at Caltech.
