Tragedy Again
''Tragedy Again'' is the fourth full-length studio album by American punk rock band D.I., released in 1989. Overall, this album is considerably more straightforward and as strong as the band's anticipated but disappointing 1988 album '' What Good Is Grief to a God?'' Like many of their albums, it became a cult favorite among die-hard D.I. fans. This was the only D.I. studio album to feature guitarist Sean Elliott, who replaced Mark "The Kid" Creak during the ''What Good Is Grief to a God?'' tour, but left around 1991. ''Tragedy Again'' was also the first D.I. album not featuring any re-recordings of songs from their previous albums. Triple X Records was a Los Angeles-based record company started by three former employees of the bankrupt Greenworld Distribution: Dean Naleway, Peter Heur and Charley Brown. The label was known for "a fearlessly eclectic catalogue that broke away from not just the mainstream, but the equally rigid guidelines of punk rock as well," according to Phoenix New Times writer Anita Jackson. Sean Michael Elliott (born February 2, 1968) is an American former professional basketball player who starred at small forward in both the college and professional ranks. Casey A. Royer, (born October 8, 1958), is an American musician. In a career spanning more than 30 years, Royer is best known as the lead vocalist for Southern Californian punk rock band D.I. and as a drummer for the Adolescents. Early years Casey A. Royer was born on October 8, 1958. Royer attended Troy High School, and began playing music with friends in the neighborhoods of Fullerton and Placentia, California. A shifting group of friends formed bands and played at parties and other gigs during their high school years. Career Royer began playing the drums professionally in 1978 at the age of 20, as an early member of Social Distortion with Mike Ness, composing the group's early lyrics with occasional help from original lead vocalist Tom Corvin.
