Traffic (art Exhibition)
Traffic is the title of a group exhibition of contemporary art that took place at CAPC musée d'art contemporain de Bordeaux, France, through February and March, 1996. Theme The exhibition was curated by Nicolas Bourriaud in order to showcase the tendency that he identified as Relational Aesthetics or Relational Art. Critical reaction Writing in ''Zing'' art magazine, Emily Tsingou said, "For a brief moment, and on a theoretical level, the show attempted an interesting claim. The idea, though, of interactivity is not a very lucid one, especially if one considers that it could be stretched to such extent as to encompass any art work and the presence of a viewer (even in its traditional sense, art functions on that quality) ... overall the show bore the characteristics of a traffic jam: at a standstill and agitated." Bordeaux CAPC

Jens Haaning
Jens Haaning (born 1965) is a Danish conceptual, contemporary artist living and working in Copenhagen. Haaning has produced a body of artworks since the 1990s, which attempt to offer an acute reflection of a complex and changing society in the West. The works address the existing structures of power and communication in the global society and necessitate a debate around subjects such as migration, displacement, nationalism, and other aspects related to human coexistence. Often the works consist of interventions in institutional structures or public spaces. Xavier Veilhan
Xavier Veilhan (1963) is a French artist who works with photography, sculpture, film, painting and installation art. Life and career Xavier Veilhan graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Xavier Veilhan continued his artistic education in Berlin at the Hochschule der Künste, in the atelier of artist Georg Baselitz. Christopher Sperandio
Christopher Sperandio (born 1964) is an American artist known for his collaborative work with British artist Simon Grennan. Biography Sperandio was born in Kingwood, West Virginia, and attended West Virginia University, receiving his Bachelor of Fine Arts in printmaking in 1987. He pursued graduate coursework at the University of Illinois at Chicago receiving a Master of Fine Arts in painting in 1991. Both Grennan and Sperandio were classmates of Tom Friedman. Jorge Pardo (born 1963, in Havana) is a Cuban-American artist and sculptor. Pardo's artwork explores the intersection of contemporary painting, design, sculpture, and architecture. Miltos Manetas
Miltos Manetas ( el, Μίλτος Μανέτας; born October 6, 1964 in Athens) is a Greek painter and multimedia artist. He currently lives and works in Bogotá. Manetas has created internet art as well as paintings of cables, computers, video games and Internet websites since the late 1990s, notably since his participation in the 1995 Traffic (art exhibition) curated by Nicolas Bourriaud, which is often related to the beginning of the Relational art movement.
