''Tracy Lawrence Live'' (originally titled ''Tracy Lawrence Live and Unplugged'' ) is an album released in 1995 by American country music singer Tracy Lawrence. His first live compilation, it features various live recordings of the hit singles from his first three studio albums (1991's ''Sticks and Stones'', 1993's '' Alibis'' and 1994's ''I See It Now''). Of the ten songs included here, all but "I Threw the Rest Away" were hugely successful singles for Lawrence. History Lawrence compiled the album through a makeshift studio on his tour bus, choosing from over 40 recordings made in the six months prior to the album's completion. He co-produced with Flip Anderson, a member of his road band. Tracy Lee Lawrence (born January 27, 1968) is an American country music singer, songwriter, and record producer. Born in Atlanta, Texas, and raised in Foreman, Arkansas, Lawrence began performing at age 15 and moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1990 to begin his country music career. He signed to Atlantic Records Nashville in 1991 and made his debut late that year with the album '' Sticks and Stones''. Five more studio albums, as well as a live album and a compilation album, followed throughout the 1990s and into 2000 on Atlantic before the label's country division was closed in 2001. "I See It Now" is a song written by Larry Boone, Paul Nelson and Woody Lee, and recorded by American country music artist Tracy Lawrence. It was released in August 1994 as the first single from his album of the same name. It peaked at number 2 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart and reached number 5 on the Canadian ''RPM'' Country Tracks chart. It also peaked at number 84 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart. Music video The music video was directed by Marc Ball, and premiered in late 1994. Deryl Dwaine Dodd (born April 12, 1964) is an American Texas country music artist. Originally a regular on the Texas club circuit, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, soon finding work as a lead guitar player, background vocalist and songwriter. After moving to Nashville in 1991 he played lead guitar for Tracy Lawrence and Martina McBride. By 1996, he was signed to a recording contract, releasing two albums for Columbia Records Nashville before a debilitating bout of viral encephalitis put his career on hiatus. Slide guitar is a technique for playing the guitar that is often used in blues music. It involves playing a guitar while holding a hard object (a slide) against the strings, creating the opportunity for glissando effects and deep vibratos that reflect characteristics of the human singing voice. Kenny Beard (February 26, 1959 - October 1, 2017) was an American country music songwriter. He wrote songs for Trace Adkins, Tracy Lawrence, and Aaron Tippin. Biography Kenny Beard was born February 26, 1959, in Ringgold, Louisiana. He moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1986, where he began working as a songwriter. A steel guitar ( haw, kīkākila) is any guitar played while moving a steel bar or similar hard object against plucked strings. The bar itself is called a "steel" and is the source of the name "steel guitar". The instrument differs from a conventional guitar in that it is played without using frets; conceptually, it is somewhat akin to playing a guitar with one finger (the bar). Known for its portamento capabilities, gliding smoothly over every pitch between notes, the instrument can produce a sinuous crying sound and deep vibrato emulating the human singing voice. Craig Michael Wiseman is an American Country music songwriter and producer, and the owner/founder of the Big Loud enterprise.
