Tractorul Brașov was a football team from Brașov, Brașov County, Romania. History Tractorul Brașov was founded in 1927 under the name of IAR Brașov (Industria Aeronautică Română Brașov) (English: Romanian Aeronautic Industry Brașov). They won 1935–36 Divizia B, but after lost in League Play-off and miss to qualify in Divizia A for the next season. Their colours were yellow and blue. Aurel Țicleanu (born 20 January 1959) is a Romanian football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. Playing career Club career Țicleanu began his youth career with Metallurgistul Sadu in 1974. He was quickly spotted there by manager Constantin Oţet who brought him to Universitatea Craiova in 1976. He made his professional debut at age 17 with Craiova during the 1976–77 season. Țicleanu spent nine seasons at the club, and won the league title twice, in 1980 and 1981 also reaching the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup in 1983. In the 1985–86 season, he joined Sportul Studențesc of Bucharest, helping them to a second-place finish in the Divizia A the club's highest ranking ever. He remained at the club four seasons, before joining Cypriot side Olympiakos Nicosia, from where he retired in 1991. Silviu Ploeșteanu (28 January 1913 – 13 April 1969) was a Romanian footballer and manager. Club career Silviu Ploeșteanu, nicknamed ''Ploaie'' (Rain) was born on 28 January 1913 in Craiova, Romania and he started to play football in 1930 at UD Reșița, winning the Divizia A title in his first season as a footballer. In the following season he was a runner-up in Divizia A with UD Reșița, afterwards moving at Universitatea Cluj where he earned another runner-up position with the team in his first season spent at the club. Angelo Niculescu (1 October 1921 – 20 June 2015) was a Romanian football player and manager. He was the coach of the Romania national football team during the 1970 FIFA World Cup. He is best remembered in Romania for inventing the "temporizare" ("delaying") tactics in which the team keeps the possession of the ball inside its own half and the players are using many short passes from one side to another of the field in order to disrupt the opponents patience when they go out of their field to make pressing; this is also known as tiki-taka. With such tactics Romania qualified for a World Cup after more than 30 years and registered a win against Czechoslovakia.
