Tracktown
''Tracktown'' is a 2016 American drama and Coming-of-age story, coming of age sports film directed and written by Alexi Pappas and Jeremy Teicher and starring Pappas, Chase Offerle, Rachel Dratch and Andy Buckley. Filming took place in Eugene, Oregon. Tracktown premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival in June 2016 and its worldwide release was on the 12 May 2017. Plot Twenty-one-year-old Plumb Marigold (Pappas) is a famous but lonely distance runner and has lived her entire life surrounded by coaches, teammates and fans while training to be an Olympic distance runner. Though she excels in her sport, she's always felt like an outsider, as her schedule has kept a normal life at bay. Everything changes when Plumb is ordered to take a day off from running to recover for the finals of the Olympic trials. Alexi Pappas or Alexia Pappa (Greek Αλεξία Παππά; born 28 March 1990) is a Greek-American runner, filmmaker, actor, and writer. Pappas was an NCAA All-American athlete at both Dartmouth College and the University of Oregon. She represented Greece at the 2016 Summer Olympics, setting the national record for 10k. Hayward Field
Hayward Field is a track and field stadium in the northwest United States, located on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon. It has been the home of the university's track and field teams since 1921, and was the on-campus home of the varsity football team from 1919 through 1966. Rachel Susan Dratch (born February 22, 1966) is an American actress, comedian, and writer. After she graduated from Dartmouth College she moved to Chicago to study improvisational theatre at The Second City and ImprovOlympic. Her breakthrough role was on the NBC television show ''Saturday Night Live'' (''SNL''); she was a cast member from 1999 to 2006 portraying a variety of roles including Debbie Downer. TrackTown USA is a Non-governmental organization, non-governmental, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Eugene, Oregon, United States. The long history of the sport of track running in Eugene, particularly at University of Oregon, University of Oregon's Hayward Field, earned the city its nickname as the "Track Capital of the World" and as "TrackTown USA." Andrew P. Buckley Jr. (born February 13, 1965) is an American actor and financial analyst best known for his role as David Wallace on the NBC comedy series ''The Office'' from 2006 to 2013.
