Jason Burik is an American Lego artist who builds custom replica models with interlocking plastic bricks. He has been commissioned by professional sports teams, colleges, companies, and individuals in the United States. Early life Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Burik has been building Lego blocks since the age of seven. He turned his long-time hobby into a business while he was in college. He played Division I basketball for the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. His first project was a replica model of his parents' house. After working on many different types of projects, the next progression was to teach Lego building skills to others. Thus began the concept of Burik's Lego camps. Eric Harshbarger (born 1971) is an Alabama-based builder of large-scale Lego brick mosaics and sculptures. From around 2000 to 2006 he was commissioned to build for television shows and magazines for promotional purposes. Harshbarger is also well known for his work in puzzle and game design. His ''Digits in a Box'' toy has been produced by Popular Playthings since 2007. ''Wired'' magazine featured an optical illusion puzzle of his design in 2009. Collaborating with Mike Selinker, Harshbarger co-authored an optimization puzzle for the ''Maze of Games'' in 2015. Nathan Sawaya (born July 10, 1973) is an American artist who builds custom three-dimensional sculptures and large-scale mosaics from popular everyday items and is best known for his work with standard LEGO building bricks. Biography Born in Colville, Washington and raised in Veneta, Oregon, Sawaya attended New York University, where he earned bachelor's and law degrees, eventually practicing law at the firm Winston & Strawn in Hollywood. He first came to national attention in 2004, when he left his job as an attorney to work full-time as a LEGO artist.
