"Toy Boy" is a song by American- British singer Sinitta, and was her first collaboration with producers Stock Aitken Waterman. The song was released on 25 July 1987, and became the fourth single in her self-titled debut album, which came out on 26 December of the same year. The lyrics were inspired by a tabloid newspaper article about the singer's love life, and she wrote the rap. The track reached number four in the UK in August 1987, staying on the charts for 14 weeks. The song was the 26th best-selling single of 1987 in the UK, selling more than some number ones from that year. Sinitta Malone (born 19 October 1963), known mononymously as Sinitta, is an American-born British singer, actress and television personality. She initially found commercial success in the mid-1980s with the single "So Macho" and had several other hits during the decade. ''Record Mirror'' was a British weekly music newspaper between 1954 and 1991 for pop fans and record collectors. Launched two years after the ''NME'', it never attained the circulation of its rival. The first UK album chart was published in ''Record Mirror'' in 1956, and during the 1980s it was the only consumer music paper to carry the official UK singles and UK albums charts used by the BBC for Radio 1 and ''Top of the Pops'', as well as the US ''Billboard'' charts.
