Toy (stylised as TOY) are an English indie rock band from Brighton, East Sussex. They have released three albums, an EP and a number of singles. In 2015, the band collaborated with Natasha Khan on the Sexwitch project. The Horrors
The Horrors are an English rock band formed in Southend-on-Sea in 2005, consisting of lead vocalist Faris Badwan, guitarist Joshua Hayward, keyboardist and synthesizer player Tom Furse, bassist Rhys Webb, and drummer and percussionist Joe Spurgeon. Their music has been classified as garage rock, garage punk, gothic rock, shoegaze and post-punk revival. The band have released five studio albums: '' Strange House'' (2007), ''Primary Colours'' (2009), ''Skying'' (2011), '' Luminous'' (2014) and '' V'' (2017) all of which charted within the UK Top 40. Post-punk
Post-punk (originally called new musick) is a broad genre of punk music that emerged in the late 1970s as musicians departed from punk's traditional elements and raw simplicity, instead adopting a variety of avant-garde sensibilities and non-rock influences. Dan Carey (record Producer)
Daniel De Mussenden Carey (born 24 December 1969) is an English record producer, songwriter, mixer and remixer. He owns his own studio in South London and runs the record label Speedy Wunderground. In 2014, Carey received two Mercury Prize nominations for his production work on two nominated albums: ''Everybody Down'' by Kae Tempest and '' First Mind'' by Nick Mulvey. In 2019, Carey earned two further Mercury Prize nominations for his production work on the albums '' Schlagenheim'' by Black Midi and ''Dogrel'' by Fontaines D.C. Carey previously produced for London-based labels Dust Records, Dust2Dust and DMI. He was also one half of the group Danmass, which released music on all three labels and Skint Records. ''Join the Dots'' is the second studio album by British psychedelic rock band TOY, released on 9 December 2013 in Europe and the UK (17 December, USA) through Heavenly Recordings. The band recorded the album with Dan Carey, who also produced their debut album, and it took twice as long as their first album to record and master. The first single to be released from the album was "Join the Dots", released in October, 2013, as a download and limited hand-stamped seven-inch vinyl.
