''Tower Theater, Upper Darby 1975'' is a live album by Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, released in February 2015 and was the third official release through the Bruce Springsteen Archives. The show was originally recorded at the Tower Theater in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania on December 31, 1975. The concert is available on CD and digital download. Background The last night of 1975 was also the last night of the Born to Run tour proper. Engineer Jimmy Iovine brought The Record Plant Remote truck out for the occasion. Front of House recordings of this show have circulated for years, along with partial tapes of stereo mixes from the multitracks. This marks the first time the entire show has been mixed for release. The Tower Theatre is a theatre in Folkestone, Kent that has been converted from the garrison church of Shorncliffe Camp barracks. The venue is owned by Folkestone & Hythe Operatic & Dramatic Society, (FHODS). Society FHODS is a charitable organisation that has been running in Folkestone and Hythe since 1902. It is an operatic and dramatic society for amateurs. It regularly holds events and shows for the people of Folkestone and its surrounding areas. Very few similar societies in the UK own their own theatre, although this is the third successive theatre to be owned and operated by FHODS. Building The garrison church was purchased by FHODS in 2001, and renamed The Tower Theatre. This is the largest garrison church in the UK. It was converted in late 2006 to early 2007 to a theatre. The Tower Theatre is a historic movie theater that opened in 1927 in the Broadway Theater District of Downtown Los Angeles. History The Tower Theatre, at South Broadway and West Eighth Street, was commissioned by H.L. Gumbiner. He would also build the Los Angeles Theatre in 1931. The Tower was the first theater designed by architect S. Charles Lee. MDC's Tower Theater, is one of Miami's oldest cultural landmarks. When it opened in December 1926, it was the finest state-of-the-art theater in the South. It is located on SW Eighth Street and Fifteenth Avenue in Miami, Florida. History Robdendon Corporation opened this movie theatre to the public as a Wometco first-run-house in December 1926. On October 3, 1931, after extensive remodeling under the leadership of Robert Law Weed, the theatre re-opened its doors. The Tower Theatre is a historic movie theatre located in Bend, Oregon, United States. History The Tower Theatre opened in 1940. The theatre's name on its landmark tower is surrounded by more than of neon tubes of green and gold. Initially, the seating capacity of the theatre was 998 on two levels. In order to provide a wide range of movies, four studios were contracted to provide material: Columbia, RKO, Monogram and Warner Bros. In 1948, the theatre began to host fashion shows, variety shows, an amateur hour and ballet. The theatre was closed in 1993 due to competition from new multiplex movie theaters. The Tower Theatre, built in 1938, is a Sacramento, California landmark and the oldest remaining, continuously running picture palace. The theater was designed by California theater architect William B. David in the Streamline Moderne style of architecture. The original owner was Joseph Blumenfeld, a second generation theatre owner. The Tower Theatre Company is a performing non-professional acting group based in a building in Northwold Road, Stoke Newington, having moved there in April 2018 from the St Bride Institute (on the site of the former Bridewell Palace), in the City of London. The group presents about 18 productions each year in London, either at their base theatre, or at other small theatres in the London area. During the summer months they also perform touring productions, with regular appearances at the open-air Théâtre de Verdure, which is in the Bois de Boulogne in Paris, and at the Minack Theatre in Cornwall.
