Tourism in China is a growing industry that is becoming a significant part of the Chinese economy. The rate of tourism has expanded over the last few decades since the beginning of reform and opening-up. The emergence of a newly rich middle class and an easing of restrictions on movement by the Chinese authorities are both fueling this travel boom. A Public Security Bureau (PSB) () of a city or county, or Public Security Department (PSD) () of a province or autonomous region, in the People's Republic of China refers to a government office essentially acting as a police station or a local or provincial police/ sheriff; the smallest police stations are called police posts (). The PSB/PSD system is similar in concept to the Japanese Kōban system, and is present in each province and municipality. Typically, a PSB/PSD handles policing, public security, and social order. The Temple of Heaven () is a complex of imperial religious buildings situated in the southeastern part of central Beijing. The complex was visited by the Emperor of China, Emperors of the Ming dynasty, Ming and Qing dynasty, Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Tian, Heaven for a good harvest.
