Toulouse School Of Economics
Toulouse School of Economics (TSE; french: École d'économie de Toulouse) is a school of economics, affiliated with Toulouse 1 Capitole University, a constituent college of the Federal University of Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées. It is located in the city of Toulouse, France. While the core focus is economics, TSE offers a range of academic degrees spanning licences (French equivalent to bachelor's degree), master's and a doctoral (PhD) programme. According to RePEc, TSE was ranked the 9th most productive research department of economics in the world and the 3rd in Europe by April 2019. Classes are taught in both French and English. Currently, the school has around 2400 students from over 90 nationalities and 150 full faculty members. Drew Fudenberg
Drew Fudenberg (born March 2, 1957) is a Professor of Economics at MIT. His extensive research spans many aspects of game theory, including equilibrium theory, learning in games, evolutionary game theory, and many applications to other fields. Fudenberg was also one of the first to apply game theoretic analysis in industrial organization, bargaining theory, and contract theory. He has also authored papers on repeated games, reputation effects, and behavioral economics. Ivar I. Ekeland (born 2 July 1944, Paris) is a French mathematician of Norwegian descent. Ekeland has written influential monographs and textbooks on nonlinear functional analysis, the calculus of variations, and mathematical economics, as well as popular books on mathematics, which have been published in French, English, and other languages. Ekeland is known as the author of Ekeland's variational principle and for his use of the Shapley–Folkman lemma in optimization theory.
