Tough Love With Mick Molloy
''ToughLove'' was an Australian comedic radio talk program broadcast from Melbourne through the Triple M network from 12:00PM – 1:00PM AEST in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide. It was hosted by long-time Australian comic, Mick Molloy and co-hosted by Robyn Butler and Mick's brother Richard Molloy aka 'Roo'. Panel operator Rosemary Walton was occasionally heard in the background laughing. In its first year (2004) the show ran for two hours (10:00AM – 12:00PM) and was also co-hosted by comedian/actor Alan Brough. During this time, a regular feature of the show was Robyn's fictional characters, including "Mrs. Yi" and "Rosita", however since the timeslot change, these characters appear to have been dropped. The show finished in 2006 when Mick Molloy decided to leave radio. Robyn Butler
Robyn Butler is an Australian writer, actress and producer who is best known for her starring role in the television comedy series '' The Librarians''. Butler hosted a radio program called ''Tough Love'' on the Triple M network. She is married to actor Wayne Hope with whom she runs the production company Gristmill, and is also the mother of actress Molly Daniels. ''Get This'' was an Australian radio comedy show which aired on Triple M and was hosted by Tony Martin and Ed Kavalee, with contributions from panel operator, Richard Marsland. A different guest co-host was featured nearly every day on the show and included music played throughout. On the 15 October 2007 episode, the ''Get This'' team announced that Triple M/Austereo would not be renewing the show for 2008. The final broadcast was on 23 November 2007. During its lifetime and since its cancellation, ''Get This'' developed a strong cult following. Tony Martin (comedian)
Anthony Francis Martin (born 10 June 1964) is a New Zealand comedian, writer and actor, who has had a successful TV, radio, stand-up and film career in Australia. Career 1980s A former stand-up comedian and commercial voice-over-man, Tony Martin moved to Brisbane, Australia, from New Zealand when he was 21 to work as a radio copywriter. Having worked in radio and amateur theatre back in NZ, Martin approached the ABCTV's ''The D-Generation'' in 1986 to work as a writer only to be told that filming on the first series had been completed. In the interim, he was invited to work as a researcher on ABC-TV's '' The Gillies Republic'' which was the follow-up to the highly successful political satire ''The Gillies Report'' (1984–85). Alan Brough
Alan Brough (; born 1967) is a New Zealand actor, television and radio host and comedian based in Australia. Career Early life Brough worked as an actor in Wellington and Auckland, mainly in live theatre. He also appeared in a series of butter commercials as a drag queen called Marge. In 1993, Brough appeared in the New Zealand sitcom ''Melody Rules'' (widely regarded as a poor programme, being described as "cringeworthy"). Michael Molloy (born 11 July 1966) is an Australian comedian, writer, producer, actor and television and radio presenter who has been active in radio, television, stand-up and film. He currently hosts ''The Front Bar'' on the Seven Network. Life and career Early years Molloy grew up in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) before moving to Melbourne in the 1980s. He attended The Peninsula School during his high school period and then studied performing arts at the University of Melbourne, where he wrote and performed in his first live act in 1987. It was there he met the Australian comedy troupe The D-Generation (the future cast of ''The Late Show'') who later formed Working Dog Productions, and with whom Molloy would collaborate on several projects.
