Touch It (Monifah Song)
"Touch It" is the lead single from American R&B singer Monifah's second album, ''Mo'hogany''. The song was produced and written by Jack Knight and Screwface. It uses a sample of Laid Back's 1983 hit "White Horse", so songwriters Tim Stahl and John Guldberg are given writing credits. Released as a single on July 21, 1998, the song became a worldwide hit, charting within the top 20 in Australia, Belgium, and Canada. In the United States, it peaked at number nine on both the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and on the ''Billboard'' Hot R&B Singles chart. "Touch It" is Monifah's highest-peaking song on the US charts, though it did not receive a gold certification like her 1996 hit "You", and was ranked number 77 on the ''Billboard'' Year-End Hot 100 singles of 1998. The Dutch Top 40 ( nl, Nederlandse Top 40) is a weekly music chart compiled by ''Stichting Nederlandse Top 40''. It started as a radio program titled "Veronica Top 40", on the offshore station Radio Veronica in 1965. It remained "The Veronica Top 40" until 1974, when the station was forced to stop broadcasting. Joost den Draaijer initiated the Top 40 in the Netherlands. The show currently airs on Fridays from 2 to 6 PM on Qmusic. Tomasz Kuklicz (born 11 October 1975), known professionally as DJ Tomekk, is a Polish-born German-based hip hop DJ and record producer. ''Mytown'' is the eponymous only studio album released by Irish boy band Mytown. The debut album was the only album released by the band before their break-up in 2001, with two of its members (Danny O'Donoghue and Mark Sheehan) later going on to form the alternative rock band The Script. Four singles were released from the album: "Do It Like This", which was only released in Ireland, "Body Bumpin'", which was only released in the United States, "Now That I Found You", which was only released in the United States and Australia, and "Party All Night". Only the latter of these reached the UK Singles Chart, peaking at No.22. Although the album was planned for release internationally, both the British and Irish releases never saw the light of day; and the album was only released in the United States, Canada and Australia. Mytown
Mytown was an Irish boy band formed in 1996 by members Danny O'Donoghue, Dermot Browne (World's Apart), Mark Sheehan, Terry Daly and Paul Walker. They released one album, the epomynous '' Mytown'' and had a number of singles before splitting up in 2001, however Browne left before then after a falling out with Louis Walsh citing irreconcilable differences. Two of the prominent members of the band, namely Danny O'Donoghue and Mark Sheehan, went on to form the pop rock band The Script The Script are an Irish rock band formed in 2001 in Dublin, consisting of lead vocalist and keyboardist Danny O'Donoghue, lead guitarist Mark Sheehan, and drummer Glen Power.
