Tottenham Hotspur F.C. Women, commonly referred to as Tottenham () or Spurs, is an English women's football club affiliated with Tottenham Hotspur. The club currently plays in the FA WSL, the top flight of women's football in England. The club gained promotion for the 2019–20 FA WSL season after finishing second in the 2018–19 FA Women's Championship. Tottenham Hotspur plays its home games at Brisbane Road in Leyton, and occasionally at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The club has been training full-time at Hotspur Way since 2020. The club have won twelve trophies, the most recent being the overall FA Women's Premier League in the 2016–17 season. 2018–19 FA Women's Championship
The 2018–19 FA Women's Championship was the first rebranded edition of the FA Women's Championship, the second tier of women's football in England, renamed from the FA WSL 2 which was founded in 2014. The season ran from 8 September 2018 to 12 May 2019. On 20 April 2019, Manchester United W.F.C., Manchester United won the title, and promotion to the FA Women's Super League, FA WSL, with two games to spare in their debut season after recording a 7–0 victory over Crystal Palace L.F.C., Crystal Palace. Brisbane Road, originally known as Osborne Road, is a football stadium in Brisbane Road, Leyton, East London, England. It has been the home ground of Leyton Orient since 1937, before which it was the home of amateur football team Leyton F.C., who moved to the Hare and Hounds ground. Karen Hills (born 5 May 1975) is an English football manager and former player who currently manages Charlton Athletic of the FA Women's Championship. Playing career After playing at primary school, Hills drifted away from football until she joined a leisure centre at 18 years old and was persuaded to play for Watford who scouted her at an informal "kickabout". She was deployed as a forward and scored a hat-trick on her debut, before moving back into midfield and eventually into defence. She later moved to Wembley Mill Hill, where she served as captain. The 2020–21 FA WSL season (also known as the Barclays FA Women's Super League for sponsorship reasons) was the tenth edition of the FA Women's Super League (WSL) since it was formed in 2010.
