Totally Táta
''Totally Táta'' is an R&B studio album by Táta Vega. It is her second solo album and was released on Motown's Tamla label in 1977. Andrew Hamilton, in his four star review in the All Music Guide stated that "''Totally Táta'' is a marvelous production by Winston Monseque." Of the nine songs on the album, Hamilton singled out the track, "Come in Heaven (Earth is Calling)." Brenda Russell (née Gordon; born April 8, 1949) is an American singer-songwriter, producer, and keyboardist. Russell has a diverse musical range which encompasses R&B, pop, soul, dance, and jazz. Alfred Orlando Johnson (February 11, 1948 – October 26, 2013) was an American R&B singer, writer, arranger and producer. He co-wrote the song "We Have Love for You" with Deniece Williams from her 1977 album ''Songbird''. Biography Born in Newport News, Virginia in 1948, Johnson attended Howard University in Washington, D.C. and while there, co-founded the soul group, the Unifics. The group, with Johnson as lead singer, scored three hits on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in 1968 and 1969 for the Kapp Records label. The first, "Court of Love" climbed to #25, but reached #3 on the US '' Billboard'' R&B chart. The follow-up, "The Beginning of My End" got to #36 on the Hot 100 and #9 R&B. Kim Carnes (; born July 20, 1945) is an American singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, she began her career as a songwriter in the 1960s, writing for other artists while performing in local clubs and working as a session background singer with the famed Waters sisters (featured in the documentary '' 20 Feet from Stardom''). After she signed her first publishing deal with Jimmy Bowen, she released her debut album ''Rest on Me'' in 1971. Elgie Stover
Elgie Rousseau Stover (September 12, 1938 – July 11, 2011) was an American songwriter, composer, producer and background singer, most famous for his associations with cousin Harvey Fuqua and Marvin Gaye, co-writing two of Gaye's songs from the singer's 1971 album, '' What's Going On''. Growing up in Cleveland, Ohio, Stover and his brother Kenneth later moved to Detroit, where the brothers worked closely with Harvey Fuqua on his Tri-Phi Records label. In the late-1960s, after befriending staff from Motown, the brothers signed with the label as staff songwriters and producers. Stover's most famous works came as the result of working so closely with Gaye, with whom he and Kenneth had befriended shortly after they signed with Motown.
