is a Japanese film producer of anime and a long-time colleague of Hayao Miyazaki, as well as a co-founder and the former president of Studio Ghibli. is a former racing driver from Saitama Prefecture, Japan. Racing career As a youth, Suzuki won the All-Japan Kart Championships in 1975 and 1976. In 1979, he took the title of the first All-Japan Formula Three Championship. In 1992, he won the 24 Hours of Daytona with Kazuyoshi Hoshino and Masahiro Hasemi. In the same year, he was runner-up in the Japanese F3000 championship. Formula One In , he participated in two Formula One Grands Prix, standing in for Philippe Alliot at the Larrousse team. Toshio Shimao
was a Japanese novelist. He has been called a "writer's writer", which is used as both a compliment and criticism. Biography Shimao was born in Yokohama, but his family moved to Kobe when he was eight. His mother died when he was seventeen and soon after he had a period of study in Nagasaki. He later traveled to Taiwan and the Philippines, but returned to education and graduated from Kyushu University in 1943. In 1944 he entered the military and was sent to Japan's southern Amami Islands as an officer for a naval suicide attack (kamikaze) squadron in World War II. The war ended while he was still waiting for his orders. His wartime experiences inspired his earliest works, including ''Shima no hate'' (1946) and ''Shutsukotō-ki'' (A Tale of Leaving a Lonely Island, 1949), as well as several later works including ''Shuppatsu wa tsui ni otozurezu'' (1962) and ''Gyoraitei gakusei'' (Student on the Torpedo Boat, 1985). Toshio Shibata
is a Japanese photographer known for his large-format photographs of large-scale works of civil engineering in unpopulated landscapes. Shibata was born in Tokyo. He graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts with a B.A. in 1972 and an M.F.A. in 1974 in which he concentrated primarily on painting. Shibata received a fellowship from the Belgian Ministry of Education to study at the Royal Academy of Ghent in Belgium from 1975 to 1977 and begin his study of photography during this period. is a Japanese politician of the Constitutional Democratic Party and a member of the House of Councillors in the Diet (national legislature). Ogawa is a former Minister of Justice. Toshio Odate (born 1930) is a Japanese-born American sculptor, woodworker, craftsmen, author, and educator. He specializes in Japanese woodworking and is a noted shoji maker. Tosiwo Nakayama
was the first President of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM). He served two terms from 1979 until 1987. Biography Nakayama was born on November 23, 1931, on Piserach Island, part of Nomwunweito Atoll in what is now Chuuk State. At the time of his birth it formed part of the Japanese-administered South Seas Mandate. is a Japanese essayist, publisher and real estate entrepreneur who is the president of APA Group, which includes APA Hotels & Resorts, one of Japan's largest hotel chains.
