Daniel Dwight Tosh (born May 29, 1975) is an American comedian, writer, and producer. After graduating from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Marketing, Tosh moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in comedy. His career accelerated in 2001 after a performance on the ''Late Show with David Letterman''. He would go on to appear in other national shows, leading to his own 30-minute special on Comedy Central Presents two years later. From 2009 to 2020, Tosh was the host of Comedy Central series ''Tosh.0'', a showcase of popular Internet video clips with the addition of Tosh's narrative comedic dialogue. Donald Tosh (16 March 1935 – 3 December 2019) was a BBC screenwriter who contributed to ''Doctor Who'' in 1965. He was the last surviving script editor and writer from the William Hartnell era. Career Before working on ''Doctor Who'' Tosh was briefly script editor on the series ''Compact'', and had helped to develop the show that eventually became ''Coronation Street''. Tosh was the story editor for the ''Doctor Who'' stories between ''The Time Meddler'' and ''The Massacre of St Bartholomew's Eve'', working with producers Verity Lambert and John Wiles. Dwight Crandall Tosh (born November 12, 1948) is a retired trooper of the Arkansas State Police from Jonesboro, Arkansas, who is a Republican member of the Arkansas House of Representatives for District 52 in Craighead Poinsett, Jackson, and Independence counties in the northeastern portion of his state. George Tosh (1813–1900) was a Scotland, Scottish engineer and metallurgist who pioneered the use of steel in certain aspects of steam locomotive design. Career His earlier career is not known (his obituaries speak of an early association with the Stephensons and the Stockton and Darlington Railway), but from children's birthplaces in census returns he was apparently resident in Newcastle upon Tyne, Newcastle by 1839, in Parton, Cumbria, Parton, Cumberland, during 1843–1848, and in Maryport by 1851. John Tosh
John A. Tosh is a British historian and Professor Emeritus of History at Roehampton University. He gained his BA at the University of Oxford and his MA at the University of Cambridge. He was awarded his PhD by the University of London in 1973; his thesis topic being "Political Authority among the Langi of Northern Uganda, circa 1800–1939". He is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. In 1987–88 he held a visiting appointment at the University of California, Davis. At Roehampton University he teaches History, specifically "Reading and Writing History". He served as Vice-President of the Royal Historical Society from 1999 to 2002. He has also published several works on the history of masculinity in nineteenth-century Britain. Neil Murray Tosh (born 1 September 1950) is a retired Scottish Conservative Party politician who served as a Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for the South of Scotland region (1999–2003) and the West of Scotland region (2003–07). Early life and career Born in Ayr, Tosh was educated at Kilmarnock Academy and the University of Glasgow, where he graduated with a second-class honours degree. He trained as a schoolteacher at Jordanhill College in Glasgow, and for nearly 25 years taught history at several schools in Ayrshire.
