Tosh Askew
Tony Askew, known by most as Tosh, was coach of the England under 19's rugby union team. He lives in Stoke-on-Trent. He has taken the English under 19's to a grand slam victory in 2005 and the semi-final place in the world cup. He was previously a rugby coach and part-time English teacher at a Newcastle-under-Lyme School. During the 1980s Tosh was at St Mary's College Crosby, Merseyide where he was Games Master. During this period he played his rugby for Liverpool St. Helens at full back. He played at left half or as a forward. Barrell was born in Lincoln. He played for the works team of Lincoln-based engine builders Ruston's before joining Lincoln City. Trevor "Tosh" Chamberlain (11 July 1934 – 10 January 2021) was an English professional association football, footballer. He played at outside left. Chamberlain began his career as a youth player with Middlesex and London, and gained youth international honours for his country. In 1952 he joined Fulham F.C., Fulham, for whom he made 204 first-team appearances, scoring 64 goals, before leaving for Dover Athletic F.C., Dover Athletic in 1965. Tosh McKinlay
Thomas Valley "Tosh" McKinlay (born 3 December 1964) is a Scottish former footballer. A fullback or wingback, he spent most of his career in Scotland playing for Dundee, Heart of Midlothian, Celtic and Kilmarnock. He also played for English club Stoke City and Swiss side Grasshoppers. He won 22 international caps for Scotland. McKinlay currently works for Celtic as a scout. Thomas Morgan "Tosh" Powell (1908 – 3 June 1928) was a professional boxer from Wales. Based in Aberdare, Powell was notable for becoming the Welsh bantamweight champion and the matter of his death, caused by injuries sustained in the boxing ring. Boxing career Although there is no record of when "Tosh" Powell first started fighting, he was an amateur fighter over a year before he turned professional, with a recorded fight at the Drill Hall in Merthyr in April 1926. Powell's first recorded professional fight was against Trealaw's Nobby Baker, at Merthyr Tydfil on 30 April 1927. Baker was the more experienced professional with seven undefeated contests to his name. The fight went the full fifteen rounds, with Baker winning by points decision. John Toshack
John Benjamin Toshack (born 22 March 1949) is a Welsh former professional football player and manager. He began his playing career as a teenager with his hometown club Cardiff City, becoming the youngest player to make an appearance for the side when he made his debut in 1965. After establishing himself in the first-team, he went on to make over 200 appearances and scored 100 goals in all competitions after forming a striking partnership with Brian Clark. In 1970, he joined First Division side Liverpool, where he formed a noted forward partnership with Kevin Keegan and Steve Heighway that helped the club to win two league titles, the European Cup, the UEFA Cup on two occasions, the FA Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.
