Torstorps IF
Torstorps IF is a Swedish football club located in Finspång in Östergötland County. Background Torstorps Idrottsförening was formed on 21 August 1935 by Einar Svensson, Sven Lundholm and Fridolf Tapper. The sports club has provided for athletics, table tennis, bandy, and skiing as well as football. The club has around 500 members. Since their foundation Torstorps IF has participated mainly in the middle and lower divisions of the Swedish football league system. The club plays in Division 4 Östra Götaland having relegated division 3, which is the best result in the club's history. A poor club season record relegated the team to division 4 östra götaland. Finspång
Finspång () is a locality and the seat of Finspång Municipality, Östergötland County, Sweden with 12,440 inhabitants in 2010. Overview Finspång is a traditional industrial town. The first industries were established in 1580 when a Royal factory for cannon and cannon balls was chartered. The industry was to continue for 300 years under supervision of the Walloon/Dutch family De Geer. Anders Qvarfordt was employed by Count Louis de Geer. His assignment was "to lodge and feed the Count de Geers Vallon blacksmiths". Finspång Castle was built by Louis De Geer (1622–1695), and around it industries and an orangery developed into the town of Finspång. Swedish Division 3
Division 3 is the fifth level in the league system of Swedish football and comprises 144 Swedish football teams. Division 3 had status as the official third level from 1928 to 1986, but was replaced by Division 2 in 1987. It then had status as the official fourth level until 2005, but was replaced once again as Division 1 was recreated in 2006. The competition There are 144 clubs in Division 3, divided in 12 groups of 12 teams each representing a geographical area. During the course of a season (starting in April and ending in October) each club plays the others twice, once at their home stadium and once at that of their opponents, for a total of 22 games. Bandy is a winter sport and ball sport played by two teams wearing ice skates on a large ice surface (either indoors or outdoors) while using sticks to direct a ball into the opposing team's goal.
