Torsten Fischer
Torsten Fischer (born 26 April 1958) is a German assistant director and theater intendant. Career Born in Berlin, Fischer originally wanted to become a painter, but then studied biology and chemistry for a higher teaching position at the Free University of Berlin. From 1978 to 1981, he was a teacher and supervisor for drug addicts and foreign prisoners in the juvenile detention center of the Plötzensee Prison. He frequently attended theatre rehearsals and was engaged in 1981 as assistant director and dramaturg for Günter Krämer and at the Staatstheater Stuttgart under director . As a guest director he was assistant director and dramaturge at the Schiller Theater in Berlin in 1984, but as Krämer moved to the Theater Bremen in 1984, Fischer followed him there. In 1986, he led to differences between General Director Tobias Richter and Krämer, who succeeded in ensuring that Fischer could remain at the house as a permanent guest director. ''Twelfth Night'', or ''What You Will'' is a romantic comedy by William Shakespeare, believed to have been written around 1601–1602 as a Twelfth Night's entertainment for the close of the Christmas season. Christoph Willibald (Ritter von) Gluck (; 2 July 1714 – 15 November 1787) was a composer of Italian and French opera in the early classical period (music), classical period. Born in the Upper Palatinate and raised in Bohemia, both part of the Holy Roman Empire, he gained prominence at the House of Habsburg, Habsburg court at Vienna. There he brought about the practical reform of opera's dramaturgical practices for which many intellectuals had been campaigning. With a series of radical new works in the 1760s, among them ''Orfeo ed Euridice'' and ''Alceste (Gluck), Alceste'', he broke the stranglehold that Metastasio, Metastasian ''opera seria'' had enjoyed for much of the century. Tankred Dorst (19 December 1925 – 1 June 2017) was a German playwright and storyteller. Dorst lived and worked in Munich. His farces, parables, one-act-plays and adaptations were inspired by the theatre of the absurd and the works of Ionesco, Giraudoux and Beckett. His monumental drama ''Merlin oder das wüste Land'', which was premiered in 1981 in Düsseldorf, has been compared to Goethe's ''Faust''. Some critics see it as the first major drama of the 1980s.
