River Torrent is a river in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland which enters the River Blackwater approximately 4 km (2.5 mi) from Maghery ferry. It previously acted as a source of industrial waterpower. The river runs through the small village of Newmills in East Tyrone, situated three miles north of Dungannon. Donaghmore village is situated adjacent to the River Torrent, formerly known as the Torrent Flow. Geology The Torrent is a long meandering river, which drains the hills to the north-west of Dungannon. The underlying geology is varied and includes basal clastic, carboniferous limestone, coal and Old Red Sandstone. Torrent Bay / Rākauroa is a bay in Abel Tasman National Park, New Zealand. History Torrent Bay was named by French explorer Dumont D'Urville during his exploration and mapping of this area of New Zealand in 1827. The area was surveyed as a village in the 1920s. When Abel Tasman National Park was formed in 1942, the village was not included in the Park, so remains as a village of holiday houses on privately owned land within the National Park. As part of the Motueka Ward of the Tasman District Council, land is of freehold title and can be onsold and built on, within strict building codes and resource consents. Ramón Torrents (born 6 December 1937) is a Spanish comic book artist. Career Ramón Torrents was born in Barcelona, Catalonia, northern Spain. He began his career drawing for the comic ''Space Ace''. He later worked on romance comics for British publisher Fleetway, including ''Marilyn'' and ''True Life Library''. In the late 1960s, Torrents worked with Esteban Maroto in the Spanish science fiction series ''Cinco x Infinito''. Through his connections with agency Selecciones Ilustradas, Torrents began working for American company Warren Publishing in 1972. For them, he drew 42 stories until 1979.
