Toronto USC Tridents (Ukrainian Sports Club Tridents, ua, УСК (Український Спортовий Клуб) «Тризуб» (Торонто), translit=USK (Ukrainskyi Sportovyi Klub) "Tryzub" (Toronto)) is a Canadian soccer team based in Toronto. The club was founded by Ukrainians that had been settled in Toronto after the second world war. History The club has had a very storied history, considering it was formed by the Ukrainian diaspora group. Canadian National Soccer League
The National Soccer League was a soccer league in Canada that existed from 1926 to 1997. Teams were primarily based in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec. The league was renamed to Canadian National Soccer League in 1993 following the folding of the Canadian Soccer League, and the accepting of the Winnipeg Fury, making the league more national. Michel Campo
Mike Campo is a Spanish former footballer who played as a defender and as a football manager. Career Campo was born in Lerida, Spain, and played football with various teams in Spain, and France. He played in the National Soccer League in 1957 with the Toronto Tridents. He re-signed with the Tridents for the 1958 season but was traded to Toronto Italia later in the season. He returned to his former club Tridents in 1959 and re-signed for the 1960 season. In the middle of the season, he was traded to league rivals Montreal Cantalia. In late 1960 he played in the American Soccer League with the Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals, where he assisted in winning the league championship. Frank Pike (26 March 1930 – 1 June 2010) was a Canadian soccer player and coach. Career Frank Pike was born in Plymouth, England, and played in midfield as an amateur for hometown club Plymouth Argyle F.C Coaching career Pike, as a Canadian citizen, began his coaching career in 1955. Coaching professional teams in the late 1950s and early 1960s. In 1964, he coached in the National Soccer League with Toronto Tridents, and Toronto Roma in the Eastern Canada Professional Soccer League.
