''Torn'' is a 2013 drama film directed by Jeremiah Birnbaum and written by Michael Richter and starring Mahnoor Baloch, Faran Tahir, Dendrie Taylor and John Heard. ''Black Isle's Torn'' was a role-playing video game developed for Windows by Black Isle Studios, announced on March 22, 2001 and cancelled in July of that year. The game was to use a modified version of the SPECIAL role-playing system, which had been implemented in the ''Fallout'' series. Developed on various editions of the Lithtech engine, ''Torn'' possessed features unseen in previous Black Isle Studios games, such as 3D graphics and real-time camera movement. In ''Torn'', the player assumed the role of a wanderer, who was cursed to bring misfortune to people and places around it. Under a king's orders, the player undertook quests to clarify a series of conflicting prophecies. Elmore Rual "Rip" Torn Jr. (February 6, 1931 – July 9, 2019) was an American actor whose career spanned more than 60 years. He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his part as Marsh Turner in '' Cross Creek'' (1983). Cecilia Törn (born 13 February 1994) is a Finnish former competitive ice dancer. With Jussiville Partanen, she is the 2015 International Cup of Nice champion, the 2017 Ice Challenge champion, and a three-time Finnish national champion (2016–2018). ''Torn'' is the second book of the young adult paranormal literature series the Trylle Trilogy. It picks up the story of Wendy Everly and the Trylle that began in Switched. It was again self-published by Amanda Hocking as an eBook on 12 November 2010. Hocking has referred to ''Torn'' as 'the dark middle child' of the series, citing more mature themes and a darker storyline than the previous novel.
