Torin Dorn
Torin Damon Dorn Sr. (born February 29, 1968) is a former professional American football cornerback in the National Football League. He played seven seasons for the Los Angeles Raiders (1990–1994) and the St. Louis Rams (1995–1996). Dorn Sr. played college football for University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1986-1989 where he played both running back and defensive back. Initially Dorn Sr. played running back for the first three seasons, and then played defensive back as a senior. One of his sons, Torin Dorn Jr., plays basketball for the NC State Wolfpack men's basketball team after transferring from the Charlotte 49ers following his freshman season. A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. They create turnovers through hard tackles, interceptions, and deflecting forward passes. Other members of the defensive backfield include strong and free safeties. Myles Dorn (born June 25, 1998) is an American football safety free agent. National Football League (NFL). He played college football at North Carolina. Professional career Minnesota Vikings Dorn was signed by the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent on April 28, 2020. He suffered a broken toe in the Vikings' final preseason practice and was waived with an injury designation. Dorn reverted to the injured reserve after clearing waivers on September 6, 2020. He was released on August 31, 2021, during final roster cuts and re-signed to the practice squad the next day. Dorn was elevated to the active roster on September 18, 2021, for the team's Week 2 game against the Arizona Cardinals and made his NFL debut in the game. The Charlotte 49ers men's basketball team represents the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC Charlotte) in NCAA Division I basketball. The 49ers are charter members of Conference USA. Charlotte returned to C-USA in 2013 after leaving in 2005 to join the Atlantic 10 Conference. The 49ers have also played in the Sun Belt Conference and were a member of the Metro Conference, which merged with the Great Midwest Conference to form Conference USA.
