Torill Eide (born 24 February 1950) is a Norwegian children's writer. She made her literary debut in 1978 with ''Ville så gjerne fortelle om sommeren...'', a book for young adults. Among her other books are ''Det vil komme nye dager'' from 1983 and ''Huletur'' from 1988. The ''Great Norwegian Encyclopedia'' ( no, Store Norske Leksikon, abbreviated ''SNL''), is a Norwegian-language online encyclopedia. The online encyclopedia is among the most-read Norwegian published sites, with more than two million unique visitors per month. Paper editions 1978–2007 The ''SNL'' was created in 1978, when the two publishing houses Aschehoug and Gyldendal merged their encyclopedias and created the company Kunnskapsforlaget. Up until 1978 the two publishing houses of Aschehoug and Gyldendal, Norway's two largest, had published ' and ', respectively. Ragnar Hovland
Ragnar Hovland (born 15 April 1952 in Bergen) is a Norwegian novelist, essayist, poet, and writer of children's books. Personal life Hovland was born in Bergen to priest Håkon Hovland and schoolteacher Sigrid Indrebø, and grew up in Strandvik and Luster. He was married to Sabine Angelika Rolka from 1978 to 1992, and to Tove Olaug Bakke since 1996. Career Hovland made his literary debut in 1979, with the novel '. The book follows four young boys from secondary school to college. Their interests circle around rock music, alcohol, a dose of politics and girls. He followed up with the short story collection ' (1981). The collection includes the stories "Dei siste beat-poetane i Midthordaland", where two wannabe poets are expelled from the gang and instead read their works for a herd of wet sheep; further "Sommarens blå flygel", where two young lovers are surprised by the boy's father, who expresses concern that they could catch a cold since they lie naked on the ground. Klaus Hagerup
Klaus Hagerup (5 March 1946 – 20 December 2018) was a Norwegian author, translator, screenwriter, actor and director. He was also known for his role of Tom in the film ''The Chieftain'' (1984). Career The youngest of two brothers, he debuted with the poem collection "''Slik tenker jeg på dere''" ("This is how I think about you") in 1969. During 1968–69 he worked at the Bergen theatre Den Nationale Scene and later at Nationaltheatret and Hålogaland Teater as an actor, instructor, director and writer. He has also acted in several movies, but is better known as a writer of plays for scene and radio theater. He also wrote many well-known books, mostly for teenagers, but also for older and younger readers. He is best known for his books about the insecure teenage boy Markus.
