Toray Arrows Men's Volleyball Club
is a men's volleyball team based in Mishima city, Shizuoka, Japan. They play in V.League Division 1. The owner of the team is Toray Industries. History The club was founded in 1947 in Ōtsu, Shiga Prefecture as Toyo Rayon Kurin Kai. They initially played nine-player volleyball. They moved to Mishima in 1964 and started to play six-player volleyball. They were described as the strongest team in the second-tier league but when they were promoted to the top-flight, they found themselves languishing in the wrong end of the table. However, since they returned to the Japan Volleyball League in the 1988-1989 season, they established themselves as a top-flight team. Toray Arrows won All Japan Championship in 2002 and the V.League in the 2004–05, 2008-09 season. Vladimir Nikolov (volleyball)
Vladimir Nikolov ( bg, Владимир Николов, born October 3, 1977) is a retired Bulgarian volleyball player, a former member and captain of his country's national team. He played as a wing-spiker and has been part of the Bulgarian national team in all recent championships. At a club level, he has played for Levski Siconco (five Bulgarian titles), Erdemirspor Izmir (Turkey), Tours VB (CEV Champions League 2005–06, one championship and two Cup titles of France), Toray Arrows, Japan and Trentino Volley (One Italian championship title). With Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo he won the bronze medal at the 2008–09 CEV Cup and also was individually awarded "Best Blocker". Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The 2022 Emperor's Cup and Empress' Cup All Japan Volleyball Championship was the 16th edition of Emperor's Cup and Empress' Cup All Japan Volleyball Championship. The final round of the tournament was held from 9–18 December 2022. JTEKT Stings beat Toray Arrows with straight sets in men's final, winning the title for the second times. NEC Red Rockets won over Toray Arrows with in 4 sets. This was the first time NEC Red Rockets won the title. Masahiro Yanagida and Sarina Koga were chosen to be MVP of this tournament. , is a Japanese volleyball competition that was established in 2007. It is organized by the Japan Volleyball Association. The word ''Tennō'' (天皇) means the Emperor of Japan, and the term ''Kōgō'' (皇后) is the Empress of Japan. The Tennō Kōgō Commemorative Cup is given to the champion of the tournament.
