The 2007 season of the ''Toppserien'', the highest women's football (soccer) league in Norway, began on 21 April 2007 and ended on 3 November 2007. 22 games were played with 3 points given for wins and 1 for draws. Number eleven and twelve were relegated, while the two top teams from the First Division were promoted. Røa won the league, three points ahead of reigning champion Kolbotn. Toppserien
The Toppserien is the top level of women's association football in Norway. It was founded in 1984. History Women's league football was introduced on a county basis in 1977. These leagues acted as qualification for the regional (South) league in 1979. Regional leagues were in operation until the formation of the First Division 1984, when the league was divided into three regions, Group Eastern-Norway (''Østlandet''), Group Western-Norway (''Vestlandet''), and Group Mid-Norway (''Trøndelag''). No teams from Northern-Norway (''Nord-Norge'') played, however. The winners of the three groups met each other for a play-off. Regional leagues for women had been played before 1984, and a championship play-off had been done between the winners of Mid-Norway and Eastern-Norway in 1983 (Trondheims-Ørn beat Setskog 2-1), but this championship was considered unofficial by the Football Association of Norway. Guro Knutsen
Guro Knutsen Mienna (born Guro Knutsen on 10 January 1985) is a Norwegian former footballer who played for Røa IL of the Toppserien league and for the Norway women's national football team. She played alongside her older sister Marie Knutsen in the Norwegian team that finished fourth at the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup in China. Knutsen Mienna won the Norwegian league with Røa IL in 2007 and 2008, and also in 2008 won the Royal Cup to complete " the double". She helped her club to the double again in 2009, and they won the Cup in 2010 and then the League in 2011. Kristy Nicole Moore (born 28 January 1977) is an association football winger or striker who has represented both Australia and England at senior international level. She was a full-time professional player with Fulham Ladies before spending nine years in the Norwegian Toppserien with IF Fløya and Stabæk. Rosenborg Ballklub Kvinner (previously known as Sportsklubben Trondheims-Ørn) is a Norwegian women's professional football club in Trondheim, Trøndelag. History The club was founded as a multi-sports club on May 18, 1917, and became a member of the Workers' Sports Federation in the 1920s. It was first based in Lademoen and had a clubhouse at Buran between 1946 and the 1960s. It had sections for men's football, Nordic skiing, speed skating, track and field, and swimming. Kristin Lie
Kristin Lie (born 13 December 1978) is a Norwegian footballer who played as a striker for Egge. She was also capped while playing for Norway. Career Lie was born in Steinkjer and grew up in Namdalseid in Nord Trøndelag, where she started her football career with three local clubs, Namdalseid, Beitstad and Verdal. She joined Trondheims-Ørn in 1999. Lie was the team's top scorer in four consecutive seasons from 2006 to 2009 and also became top scorer in the 2007 Toppserien. Lene Mykjåland (born 20 February 1987) is a Norwegian footballer who played for LSK Kvinner and the Norway women's national team, having made her debut for the senior team on 7 March 2007, in a 1–2 loss against Germany. Kristin Blystad-Bjerke (born 7 July 1980) is a Norwegian footballer who played as a striker for Kolbotn of the Toppserien and Norway women's national football team. Club career Blystad-Bjerke started her career playing for Kolbotn in 1997. Solveig Ingersdatter Gulbrandsen (born 12 January 1981) is a Norwegian footballer currently playing for Kolbotn of the Toppserien. At club level she has previously represented Kolbotn, FC Gold Pride, Vålerenga Fotball Damer and Stabæk.
