Topmodel
''Topmodel'' is a Belgian reality television show which pits contestants against each other in a variety of competitions to determine who will win a modeling contract with ''Dominique Models''. Belgian model Ingrid Seynhaeve hosts the show, which is based on the top-rating series '' America's Next Top Model'' with Tyra Banks. The debut season of the show premiered on KanaalTwee in October 2007. On it, 10 female contestants were placed in an apartment. Spanning a wide variety of women of various races, heights and body sizes, they had been whittled down from a pool of thousands to compete against one another in various contests designed to simulate the extreme demands placed on professional models. Each week one contestant was eliminated by a panel of judges: Ingrid Seynhaeve herself, fashion expert Ghislaine Nuytten, model Elise Crombez and Monique Vanendert, photographer. ''Top Model,'' also called ''Next Top Model,'' is a fashion-themed reality television show format produced in many countries throughout the world and seen in over 120 countries producing over 200 seasons, which are referred to as "cycles". The show takes the form of a modeling competition whose winners typically receive a contract with a major modeling agency and a cover shoot and fashion photo spread in a fashion magazine. The format was created by Tyra Banks for the original series, ''America's Next Top Model,'' which first aired in 2003 and was produced by Ken Mok's 10 by 10 Entertainment. Topmodel (Belgian Season 2)
The second season of '' Topmodel'' aired from October to December 2008 on 2BE. It was presented by An Lemmens. The judging panel consisted of modeling agency Dominique Models head Marc Dochez, former model and head judge Ghislaine Nuytten, make-up artist Rudi Cremers, fashion and beauty journalist and editor-in-chief of ''Glam*it'' magazine Pascale Baelden and fashion journalist Els De Pauw. Model Ingrid Seynhaeve, the presenter of the previous season, also mentored the contestants. The winner of the competition was 19-year-old Virginie Bleyaert from Bruges. Benelux' Next Top Model
''Benelux' Next Top Model'' was a Dutch-language reality television show that aired in Belgium and the Netherlands. The show was a merge between ''Holland's Next Top Model'', and the Belgian television series '' Topmodel''. The first season premiered in September 2009, and was hosted by Dutch writer and former model Daphne Deckers. Despite the Benelux reference in the title, the program was not broadcast in Luxembourg or Wallonia. On May 9, 2011 it was announced that ''Benelux' Next Top Model'' would not be renewed for a third season. The Dutch production team would continue with a domestic fifth season in the Netherlands, again under the title of ''Holland's Next Top Model''. Imke Courtois (born 14 March 1988) is a Belgian former footballer who played as a defender. She works as a sports analyst. She played for the Belgium national team. VTM 2 (formerly Q2) is a Belgian television channel owned by the commercial broadcasting company DPG Media. History The channel was originally known as Kanaal 2. However, it has undergone several rebrandings over the years. At launch in 1995, the channel was branded as Ka2 (Dutch pronunciation of K2), then Kanaal 2. In 2001, it was branded KANAALTWEE.
