The ''Topics'' ( grc-gre, Τοπικά; la, Topica) is the name given to one of Aristotle's six works on logic collectively known as the ''Organon''. The treatise presents the art of dialectic — the invention and discovery of arguments in which the propositions rest upon commonly held opinions or endoxa ( in Greek). ''Topoi'' () are "places" from which such arguments can be discovered or invented. What is a topic? In his treatise ''Topics'', Aristotle does not explicitly define topic, though it is "at least primarily a strategy for argument not infrequently justified or explained by a principle." He characterises it in the ''Rhetoric'' thus: "I call the same thing element and topic; for an element or a topic is a heading under which many enthymemes fall." By element, he means a general form under which enthymemes of the same type can be included. Topic (chocolate Bar)
''Topic'' was a chocolate bar made by Mars, Incorporated in France and sold throughout Europe. It contained hazelnuts, nougat and caramel. The bar was first introduced in 1962. In the UK, it was advertised with the line "A Hazelnut in Every Bite". The chocolate bar was promoted in a series of radio advertisements broadcast in 2002 with the strapline "A joy to eat, but a bitch to make". These adverts featured actors Simon Pegg and Mark Heap who both appeared in the cult British TV comedy ''Spaced''. The bar was removed from boxes of Celebrations in 2006, along with Twix (although Twix has subsequently been reintroduced). In 2022 Mars, Incorporated ceased production. Tobias Topic (, ; born 23 March 1992), also known mononymously as Topic (), is a Croatian-German DJ, producer and musician. His song "Home" was certified platinum in Australia and Germany. Biography Early career & Commercial breakthrough with “Home” Born in Solingen, Topic is of paternal Croatian descent. He went to a high school in Hessen. At the age of 16, he started using Logic Studio, a digital audio workstation, to produce music with the guidance of a teacher. He started his musical career on social media with the assistance of YouTube musicians who contacted him. Topic Records is a British folk music label, which played a major role in the second British folk revival. It began as an offshoot of the Workers' Music Association in 1939, making it the oldest independent record label in the world.M. First Look Media is an American nonprofit media organization founded by Pierre Omidyar in October 2013 as a venue for "original, independent journalism".
