Overkill (Motörhead Song)
"Overkill" is a song by English rock band Motörhead. It was released in 7" and 12" vinyl pressings in 1979. It is backed with A-side and B-side, B-side "Too Late Too Late" which appears on the CD re-issues of the ''Overkill (Motörhead album), Overkill'' album. Early copies came with an "Overkill" badge. The single reached number 39 on the UK Singles Chart. On 9 March 1979, the band played this song on the BBC TV show ''Top of the Pops'' to support the release of the single. The song was a live favourite and was frequently featured at Motörhead concerts, often in an extended version. The artwork on the sleeve was created by Joe Petagno, based on his design for the album's cover. Mr Hudson And The Library
Mr Hudson and the Library were a British music group active from 2006 to 2007 and composed of Mr Hudson (vocals, guitar), Joy Joseph (steelpan, percussion, vocals), Torville Jones (piano), Robin French (aka Maps Huxley) (bass) and Wilkie Wilkinson (drums). The members hailed from Birmingham and London. Their music has been described as a fusion of old school reggae, rock and soul. Their first EP entitled ''Bread & Roses'' was released in October 2006. This was followed by the hit single "Too Late Too Late". The band played two songs, "Too Late Too Late" and "Brave the Cold" on '' Later with Jools Holland'' on 8 December 2006. Reggae Fusion
Reggae fusion is a genre of reggae that mixes reggae and/or dancehall with other genres, such as pop, rock, hip hop, R&B, jazz, funk, soul, disco, electronic and latin. Origin Although artists have been mixing reggae with other genres from as early as the early 1970s, no official term had been used to describe this practice. Artists such as UB40 were described using terms that joined the various genres they performed (e.g. "reggae funk", "reggae pop", "reggae-disco").
